But also our best player. Wins everything in the air and knows what to do with it when he's holding it up. He works hard and if we had players who could cross he might score a few.

Three bad performances. Scougall? Ineffective doesn't cut it. He looks like he won a draw to play for us.
Brayford? Lost whatever he had.
Basham? Not nearly good enough for midfield at any level.
Long... Needs some very healthy competition as soon as possible.

I have more faith in Wilder than I did in the past few but fuck me it's proving difficult. Especially when he sees Scougall as an option to call on. But in fairness his signings aren't the problem so we can only hope that he continues to get rid of the dross left behind and maybe, just maybe we can finish higher than last season.

2 league games, well done you guys
So what? Same old. Scougall doing nothing, Done not a winger, Brayford and Basham living off good performances a couple of seasons ago and Long not good enough.

Are the criticisms not warranted? That's 120 quid last week in total, and the season ticket and beer tokens for the past 2 games and I feel I'm entitled to have an opinion.

Leon Clarke is wank.

Calvin Andrew was miles better today.

There i said it. Totally and completely ineffective today, as were our prehistoric tactics.

UTB

Ps was it lost on anyone else that the ONE AND ONLY time we managed to combine quality movement with an excellent ball PLAYED IN TO FEET resulted in our goal ?

fucking joking aren't ya? What did Andrew do that Clarke didn't?
If he'd never played for Wednesday I bet you a thousand quid you wouldn't be saying that. Embarrassing mentality.

Whoever gives 100% for my club I'll support.

He looks uninterested. I would consider Freeman ahead of him.
Freeman was our most consistent player beginning of last season. He did more in 10 games than Brayford has done in the last 40 games. Complete waste of a wage. On today's performance you would have said Hussey was the full back who cost £1.5million

Every single time the ball went up to Clarke, nothing happened, usually through no real fault of his own.

Contrast that with Calvin Andrew who we embarrassingly failed to deal with all afternoon.

I'm not criticising Clarke or praising Andrews too much there either. Rochdale dealt with our long balls far better than we dealt with theirs. In all three games so far we've not got enough support around Clarke and no one's anticipated anything he's won.

We've punted far too many balls straight up to his head and not enough down the sides or over the top of the defence.

I'm glad Clarke wasn't in the Rochdale team today.

Are you taking the piss?
Best player haha! Love that one.

We have had crosses into the box in all three games, and in at least two of them he missed absolute sitters.
Didn't win everything in the air (didn't help he was pulled about and won nothing from the referee but before making the claim to he wins everything in the air, at least make sure it is true)
And at the minute, he is either unfit, carrying a knock or lazy.

Scougall.......I'm guessing you didn't go to the midweek match when he played alright when he came on? Granted today he was a non entity when he came on but I can't think of any stand out players from today's match.

Long doesn't need competition, he needs replacing because he is, and always has been, wank. He has only been given as long as he has because he is an academy product. Any understudy to Steve Simmonsen never had a chance in any case.

I really cannot see how Scougall deserves special criticism. He did no worse than many others today, he's the only one who looked half decent on Tuesday and he had an impeccable pre-season.
He did no worse than anyone else but as always that's all he does. He doesn't have any qualities.

? Clearly you don't go to all the games, scougall did well when he come on against Crewe (so did mcnulty) and long needs nothing but to hang his boots and gloves up, not good enough for us or league one or league football, he looks a bang avarage Sunday league goalkeeper...... You my friend are clueless and as to Clarke being our best player ? No need to say any more on that matter, plenty of crosses missed a few sitters in past two matches(not had chance in this game).

Know what you mean Swiss, but...

I didn't go to Bolton so today is the first time I've seen the 'new, improved United' and all I can say is, it's going to be a long, hard winter.

Rochdale will not be one of the stand-out teams in our division but they were far superior to United today. Quicker in thought and deed, more organised, more determined. Our team is too small for this division, the 'tactics' are non-existent and - yet again (and this has been going on for a few seasons) - for a home team, we do not 'work' the opposition goalie nearly enough.

We got out of jail today, a second 'dale goal and there would have been no coming back. Seven or eight new players in, and nothing's changed.

I don't want to pick players out for criticism, but I wish our big, black No. 9 (Clarke) looked half the threat of theirs (Calvin Andrew).

And if todays pattern continues, I can well see Sharp looking for a move as, the way it looked today, he's got absolutely no support or service.

I really don't want to see anyone classed as competition coming in for long. We need someone who is a lot lot better than the standard shown so far. The kid drops clangers game after game. His kicking is woeful , simple catches go astray an the defenders have zero confidence in knocking the ball back to him and the crowd were on his case big time today. His confidence is lower than a snakes Tit and it's time for a change.

He did no worse than anyone else but as always that's all he does. He doesn't have any qualities.

Within 10 minutes of coming on on Tuesday he had two shots on target, more than the entire team mustered after the initial goal. He picks up the lose balls and keeps it in our possession and he's one of the few that can put in a decent pass when we're in the final third.
He's no world beater to say the least, never will be, but there are worse offenders in this side.

You are the reason United are still in this division.
Scougall did quite well in midweek against league 2 opposition. Let's give him a 4 year deal.

If Clarke wasn't the best player who was? Joker

Agree with that, Matt Done has seemed half a second behind, in reaction, to everything going on around him.

Also, all game, Rochdale players got between our player and the ball, holding them off, all afternoon.

Hold on I didn't realise I played for United or managed them ? You bell end..... How can I be the reason ... Clearly you have no idea, you little boy, go back to pretending to be 'ITK' and today there was NO stand out player. All equally as poor... Idiot

Brilliant. What else has he done since the FA cup semi? 2 shots on target against Crewe
