2007-8:

2008-9:

Lost 2-1 at Derby - their first win for a year
Lost 1-0 at home to Doncaster - their first league win at the Lane
Lost 2-1 at home to the Pigs - their first win at the Lane since 1968 and their first double since 1914

2009-10

Lost 2-1 at home to Port Vale - a first ever defeat at home by a 4th tier side

It's not worth telling the club that. Nobody who is a decision maker cares. They think it's all bad luck ot they have no sense of what being a Blade means.

So, having never lost at home to a fourth tier side in our entire history, up to 2009, we've now done it 6 times in 8 seasons in the League Cup and Johnstone's Paint thingy (Port Vale in 2009-10, Bradford in 2011-12, Burton in 2012-13 and 2013-14, Hartlepool in 2013-14, and now Crewe).

Anyone think Rochdale will avoid defeat at the Lane for the first time on Saturday? Wouldn't surprise me.

They've also beaten us at home twice in the league cup when they were a league two side. Plus top of the league or not, that was their first win over us in the league.

What we have to look at is how Burton have progressed while we have gone so far backwards. They have a manager that for differing reasons was sacked here but managed to get them up into the championship. You could argue that it wasn't his team but he still got them up after Hasselbaink had gone didn't he. How can they bring players in that can perform so far better than us ? How can they afford to do it when, with no disrespect, they are fundamentally so much smaller than us ? Yes we may be hamstrung by having some useless twats on our books that we would love to move on but the fact is they don't sign players like that in the first place do they. It's embarrassing to see how far backwards we have gone in the same period that they have made it into the Championship. It's because the owners have proper affinity with the club, won't jeapordise it's existence by wasting time and money on stupid decisions. Just goes to show how the people running this club are doing it for completely the wrong reasons and just want to strip this club bare.
