The article is actually vague. The headline on the page before opening the specific article reads outbid,the body of the article says outpriced. Read it both ways. There`s no reference to a club other than Brum other than in a general sense.

In previous seasons we would have sold the Beemer for the price of the Corsa but it seems like we are playing harder to get this window. Whether that's down to Wilder or McCabe I'm not sure but long may it continue. If the rumours r true we have turned down the best part of 3m for Che and DCL combined and it's many seasons since that happened....massive caveat that it's not the end of the window yet !

Good business all round I'd say. I know that some might find that odd, but I just never took to the lad for some reason, he just seems to not want it enough for me and how often do we replace a guy, before a said player leaves and with a better replacement!? Only downside is Clarke's age but this isn't like when we brought in Martyn Woolford for Murphy is it, and Murphy, unlike Adams was and is class.

I'm not overly bothered. So long as CW gets some money to spend in return.

I found his first touch a bit sloppy. He seems to have lost a yard of pace as well. He has got sickening genetics though, ridiculously strong and powerful for his age. He's missing a few tricks from his game too. Usually tries to knock it on and sprint/barge rather than trying a trick or two.

I'd like us to sign an out and out wide player as his replacement. For me che drifted in and out of games playing out wide - even though he said it was his preferred position. I'm pleased with billy, Clarke, done and mcnulty as our striking options. Another winger to compliment Duffy now please.

Id bite their hands off for £2m. Yes i know that there are untold riches in the prem right now but im reasonably confident that for a change, Utd under Wildthing have played the sale of a player well (if indeed he does get flogged). I look at other players in the league who Utd could probably bring in with half that money and i on balance i would prefer 3 in and some money in the wages pot in preference to a young pup of a player who i have reservations about. I hope Che makes it but i just dont see it. I willbe happy for some clever bstard to repost this in 3 years time when Che signs for Barcelona...though i think theres a lot more chance that it will be Braintree.
