My first post this season, or nearly season, and in fact my first for ages really. I am really frustrated that reading this board is turning me away from this board, and forums in general due to the complete lack of faith in the new manager/team/board etc. It seems that most on here, with certain names more frequent than others, seem driven by depression with their slagging of everything Blades.

I have just read a thread about backing Charlton, and at the point where I got too where everyone is backing everyone except us I turned the thread off, particularly with one or two backing Scunthorpe, really!!
In fact the amount of ridicule against us is bordering on childish, very much like the Remoaners wanting a 2nd referendum, nothing is seen as positive, everything is seen as negative.

Let me explain, I bet with my heart, always have done and always will do, and i couldn't bet against us whatever, in fact i always back the pigs to lose in what i call an ultimate Sheffield double every weekend, and yes last year i didn't win much, but enjoyed the betting. Having said this i'm not a huge gambler I only have a £20 double on us winning and pigs losing, losing £20 doesn't bother me but winning the bet and whatever winnings doesn't mean as much as the feeling it gives me.

Please tell me am I wrong this season to think Wilder will get it right, am I wrong to be happy that the turgid football of firstly Clough then Adkins is over, am I wrong in thinking Wilder was the fans choice, am I wrong in thinking that the glaringly obvious in over paid players, poor players, players playing out of position, is over as Wilder says players will play in the main where they should be playing.

If you think I'm too positive, or as they say on Bladesmad a 'happy clapper' then let me know, please.

If you take away Scotland/Gibralter/2M ex pats in Spain then the victory margin would have been huge. I suppose that is the perogative of a man who understands poumd cost averaging and also risk/reward strategies. He prrobably has some very high risk investments that he might lose but could also gain a huge amount. Not all his portfolio, just a small percentage. As he says, its only a £20 double and not the money to repay his mortgage

Good point. Just don't see the idea that people should be "slagged off" for betting with the value of the odds rather than simply because they support somebody.

NB: Obviously if I were a bookmaker by trade I'd be right on board with it!
