Good, we don't need Northern Conference standard players. That's why we are where we are.

Agree with the sentiments about Tel. The story goes that Sir Alex was watching the Youth Cup final a few years back and everyone was raving about Harry, but Sir Alex asked who is partner was "very impressed" were his comments.

Good Luck Tel

PS Apparently Diego's signed for Bristol City U21s

Top Top Lad ........................ Shit Shit Knees

Good Luck Pal.

Echo some of the comments above, real shame this lad couldn't get over the injuries as I'm sure he would have been one of our top players by now ( or sold on!)

It's a great shame that he didn't make it with us – had his body allowed it, he surely would have done.

It's due to this sort of example that I'm always infuriated whenever I see an able-bodied player throwing away their talent – players that have the potential to do well but simply don't put in the effort required, while others would run through brick walls to be in that sort of position.

I'm gutted for him. The talent is there, just a real shame about his knees. Hope he gets a run of games and can show how good a player he is and then gets back up the leagues.
Tbh, I don't think he'll be able to play full time football again. I think his injuries mean he can't train and play two games a week.
He'd be better using his free time to prepare for his future, either within football in a non playing capacity (coach, physio etc) or learn a trade or something.
However hard you've been kicked in the bollocks, the world keeps turning.

All things taken into account, that's sadly probably his level now. Good luck to him.

I think if we had not a boat load of under performing players , allegedly poor attitudes , continual well paid injured players , Tel would still be at the Lane . Unfortunately he got hit with the shrapnel and perhaps the perception of not having the right attitude .

Don't know if he is or wants to take his coaching badges.

Thankfully the treatment rooms should be less busy with the same faces . Also players will want to playb.

A former centre half with knackered knees signs a young centre half with knackered knees. Hope he manages to get himself fit enough to get back into the leagues as Blades fans shouldn't have an axe to grind with him really. They've managed to get McFadzean and Josh Law back into pro clubs in recent years so a good season and you never know.

I think with the silly money floating around in football now paired with the emergence of your Vardy's, your Austin's, your Adams to a lesser extent a lot of clubs in this region will be looking local, Alfreton, Worksop, Ilkeston, Club. Hallam and Stocksbridge may be a bit busier than usual.

I think if Kennedy performs and shows he can get a run of games going he could be back in league football by this time next year.

Agree LB, but also a reason why, if a player is offered a big contract at a club higher up the chain that they should take it.
What has Tel got after years of hard work and sacrifice?? It is a very short and risky career and for him it sounds like it is not going to give him a great return on investment.

Proper old school defender, who would stop the ball (or the man) at any cost. As has been said, a shame that we had able bodied players who would not put the effort in, and Tel Kennedy who had the biggest heart at the club (up there with Billy at least), who was curtailed by injury. Good luck in whatever you do Terry.
