I think this could a big season for the lad, and I'm hoping that we can fend off any bids.
I think Wilder is the perfect man to drill some discipline and intelligence into Che's game. He has pace, power and knows where the back of the net is, if Wilder can coach him to improve his control, decision making and help him utilise his strength holding the ball up, we will have some player on our hands.

12 goals in his first full league season, in a team that didn't create chances or seem remotely coherent, to me shows great promise.

Happy birthday Che, hope to see you and the club flourish in the coming seasons.

Look's like he's already trimmed down a bit...probably been working hard before pre-season...good on him.

Hopefully being a year older brings a significant attitude readjustment with it, otherwise he can do one.

I've heard a few people bemoan his attitude, and I'm not sure of the origin?

I thought he had lost a yard of pace last season. Thought he had bulked up too much. Hopefully he can find a happy medium.

Remember, him allegedly turning up late for training with Harrison McGahey, but not the other two. Are they fact or rumour?

They were confirmed by Adkins at the time. The Millwall one in particular is what pissed me off.
His dad passed away and his head obviously wasn't right for a while. Adkins hung him out to dry. The more I look back, the more I'm glad we got rid of the Scouse twat.

New season. What has gone before should be considered, but ultimately if he knuckles down he should get the same chance as everyone else. Tyler should be happy in any case because he hasn't dyed his hair blonde to date :)

I think he'll heave a decent season at whatever prem club he Goes to.

Che was knocking about with Baxter and McGahey last season, I know this for a fact. Now they have gone he can knuckle down and really kick on, no twats holding him back. In short he was knocking about with wronguns'. Good season in store for us and him just so long as we keep him.

I do think that he needs to improve his ball control, tracking back to help out the full-back ( I think wide mid is his best position as he's not a central striker ) and his decision making ...... hopefully this will come from coaching and increased experience.

I have kids around that age where they like to stand around near the player entrance before a game and try and talk to/get a photo with some of the players (while I'm bemoaning the fact it's 2 hours to kick off and I'm not in the pub yet!). I know pretty much all the players will stop and have a word and a quick photo on the way in, but I always felt like Che went out of his way to do so (as opposed to just passing through and wanting to get inside ASAP). Not arrogant in the slightest, and seems like a nice lad.

Genuinely surprised people think there's an attitude problem. I expect him to kick on this season, with a better manager. Although if he does start to perform, we can probably expect him to be sold in the JTW :(

I've met him in town and said well played today (he'd scored in the earlier game). He was, like you describe, really friendly and happy to talk.

I suspect dropping to non-league and coming back helps you grow mentally and personality wise.

With the scant information available I'm wondering whether the FA used it to pay football debts.

No.

With the scant information available, it is obvious that McCabe trousered it. He's got the Holmes and Lennard money too and all the semi final cash. He may even have been in on Reg Brearly's 'knock 7,000 off the gate' scam.
