Ok so all dreams are weird. I'm currently in cherborgh. Stayed overnight to catch ferry this lunch. Last night before dropping off I was reading this board keeping in touch with latest signings etc. Implausable as it is I dreamt I was the next signing. At nearly 65 obviously there for my experience. My first match was away at Stockport!! Yes I know they are no longer in the league. The pitch was ankle deep in grass. There was just one rickety old stand down one side of the pitch. It had about 3000 traveling away mad for it blades in it. The most bizarre thing was we were playing not with a ball but a large piece of chopped up tree trunk!! I was in my usual position of right back. Obviously the beard had been ousted due to my experienced. At one point their centre forward got round me but due to the largeness of the tree truck he was unable to control it and I made a tackle and won it back. The ref in his wisdom decided the tree trunk was too big and hacked it down to a more manageable size with an axe he produced from under his shirt!! It was a,dream remember. In the second half I found myself in a forward position in their box. This piece of wood came to me and I was able to toe end it into the top corner of the net past the keepers flayling arms. The travelling blades went crazy and invaded the pitch. It proved to be the winning goal. I remember walking off the pitch thinking have I done enough to be in again next match? Bizarre or what?

French red wine and French cheese produce crazy dreams if taken late in the day, as does French Tart.

Your post will kindle all sorts of stories I'm sure.

Are you sure it was Stockport and not Forest? :)

What's the French for avay vous de Kleenex?

I had a weird dream too. More of a nightmare really.

Right so we're in the championship, Blackwell is in charge. We're thinking we have a slim chance of the play offs. Then after the second game of the season, McCabe sacks Blackwell.
We ended up getting relegated.

Next season we got Danny Wilson in as manager. Piggy Wilson, oh it was bad, people protesting in car park etc.. He wasn't all bad actually we finished highest scorers in England but our striker was sent to prison towards the end of the season... Remember, its only a dream so was vivid as fuck but seriously, the courts sent him down with just 3 games to go. We didn't win any of those last 3 and Sheff Wed pipped us to 2nd.
We lost the play off final on penalties despite Huddersfield missing their 1st 2 pens. Its the blades way...

Anyway, fast forward to the end of the dream. We ended up staying in that league for 6 years. I don't know what happened in that 6th season as I woke up but it was scary, I was crying and sweating. All because they sacked Blackwell on the 2nd game too. All actions have consequences and all that.

I suppose having taken the match ball ut is now a coffee table? The questions go on however; In what style? Wall nut ,Teak, Pine...?

Huddersfield actually missed their first 3 pens - the nightmare intensifies.

I would've believed this dream if it wasn't so far fetched, nice try though and I hope you don't have any more reoccurrences' of clusterfucks such as your nightmare, sleep well! :)

Here's an official interpretation of your dream dj:

My first match was away at Stockport!!
This is subconscious guilt about your excessive drink habit. Your mind is focussing on your next fix and gains comfort from the association here of buying and storing fortified wine, hence the visit to stock port.

The pitch was ankle deep in grass.
This is subconscious guilt about your excessive drug habit. Your mind is focussing on your next fix and gains comfort from the association here of ankle deep grass.

There was just one rickety old stand down one side of the pitch. It had about 3000 traveling away mad for it blades in it.
This is subconscious guilt about your excessive sexual appetite. Your mind is focussing on your next fix and gains comfort from the association here of having 3,000 'mad for it' Blades to choose from.

The most bizarre thing was we were playing not with a ball but a large piece of chopped up tree trunk!!
Here you are demonstrating a sexual regression. You are happy with the size and shape of your testes, but unhappy at not having any say when it came to being circumcised.

At one point their centre forward got round me but due to the largeness of the tree truck he was unable to control it
This is all to do with sexual frustration. You're obviously suppressing an interest in same sex relations but you feel uncomfortable at the thought of another bloke holding your intimate parts.

The ref in his wisdom decided the tree trunk was too big and hacked it down to a more manageable size with an axe he produced from under his shirt!!
The ref here represents the surgeon who performed the circumcision. You have a deep-rooted fear that if he had slipped, you might have lost a chunk of todge.

In the second half I found myself in a forward position in their box.
Again, more sexual references. Your mind appears to be obsessed with physical interaction and here even adds detail to the event.

I remember walking off the pitch thinking have I done enough
At 65, I'd say you've done more than enough in one night mate. Kinell, I couldn't have managed that lot in my 20's!!

If Adkins were still here, you signing could of been a distinct possibility.

Probably quicker than Hammond:p. Not as much unseen work though.

If you get a three year contract don't take it, you'll get called a 'wage thief' a 'wage thief'on here and you'd never sleep at nights, never mind dream:p.

How many keepy uppys can you do with a chopped up tree trunk Ken ?.... i was impressed by your story so much so, that i tried a few keep uppys with a fine bit of pine, got to four before i toe ended it into next doors greenhouse.... Can i have my tree trunk back mister was met with total disdain.

Maybe it wasn't a dream
Maybe it was a premonition

Whats weird about it though?

Some interesting responses here. Thank you GreacyChipBeatie for your psychological interpretation. It would appear by your assessment sexual frustration is the problem. Well I am nearly 65, and it has been so long since I last had sex I ve forgotten who ties who up? So you might be right lol. Im not circumcised btw though.
