try youths? they might want to impress, its the transfer window and he buys players of 38 year old. Or get em practising in training. over and over till they get it right and can do it with there eyes closed.

I'd hardly say that the current atmosphere around the club is one to be blooding youths in. How do you think they'd feel being booed and got at for mistakes every young player will inevitably make?

Look at Lee Martins... you've already said that lad is crap after a difficult first game where he didn't really do anything wrong!

well it was down to robson not to play him in such a big game then. Bad management.

why not work on it in training then to get it right?

Play youths.

He did, you said they were crap.

Well that's his bad management.

Am I the only person who can see that no matter what Robson does now, he won't be able to appease some people?

why not work on it in training then to get it right?

I would hope that the players should take it as their responsibility to be able to kick a ball in a straight line!

Is it Robson's responsibility to wipe their arses after they've been to the shitter?!

youths, that have been at the club longer than 5 days, who will give anything for the team.
and i thought we were talking in general about ball trapping so i was saying play youths as in not just yesterdays game.

so whats training for then? i always thought it was for players to train there skills, such as passing, tacking, trapping balls etc?

and if they cant do the basics they shouldn't be playing.

How black and white do some people want it?

On the back of good old-fashioned Blades come-back, Robson fields a defensive line-up with a drab game-plan based on packing the midfield and forcing a lone striker to fight for scraps. Playing a flat line of 5, whether it's in midfield or defence, ALWAYS results in a certain degree of uncertainty as to marking and positioning. This doesn't always matter and can work against a team prepared to play it slowly and allow you space, but when was that ever going to be the case against Wednesday?

Then comes half time and a change of personnel and tactics and all-of-a-sudden we're back in it! Who'd have thought it! Tactics / formations / team-selections have a much bigger impact than some people seem to think and I for one cannot understand why that is so hard to accept or believe that singularly players' performances can be affected by these factors. The "rudderless ship" metaphor rears it's head from time to time but it really applies here, especially with players in need of guidance such as "Mike" Tonge (seriously, who who knows him, calls him that???) and Leigh Bromby.

Seriously, Martin had a mint game, he was one of our few players on that pitch that didnt actually completely suck

martains was non existent most of the game, i though he had been substituted at H/T until i saw a pair of blue boots run down the flank.

a pair of blue boots run down the flank.

Lee Martin did indeed do this, something we've been crying out for all season, he also wasn't afraid to try and beat a man or try a trick and managed a few good corners!

Hopefully he'll be a handy and refreshing option in comparision to what we already have.

I wish he wouldn't wear blue boots though :D

i thought BT's red boots looked wild, now i seen blue, id have made him go to the shop before the game and buy a new colour :D
