I am against signing 30 odd year old players in general, especially in the position we're in. But Ricky Holmes has a few months short of 2 years on Duffy, and Wilder would have already known how best to utilise him.
We don't have to sign players the manager has had before, sure I've heard that too...
Anyway you seem to be arguing your own philosophy. I'll leave you to it - 'Me, myself and Barney'!
