Offer to the player.Dannyboy says he's out of contract, Jonboy says we tabled an offer. Why do we have to make an offer if he's out of contract? Help please.
He's out of contract .so other than a signing on fee no club to deal withDannyboy says he's out of contract, Jonboy says we tabled an offer. Why do we have to make an offer if he's out of contract? Help please.

We had similar situation with Porter other year before he joined Colchester. Fleck is free to join any club he chooses as far as I know.
Don't know, let's check all the fax.....Have we not been in for him before, sure we have.
Assuming the OP means John Fleck, he's 25 in August. Is he under 24?

Until we sign him.Yep, would be a good signing.
Why?Yep, would be a good signing.
Well, he won Coventry's POTY award for starters. These are exactly the types of players we need to be going for, the best players in the teams from this division. I think he'll add that bite to the midfield, doing a Doyle type job only better. Why?
Funny that, coming from someone who would have preferred Ricky Holmes to Mark Duffy. These are exactly the types of players we need to be going for, the best players in the teams from this division.
.
I am against signing 30 odd year old players in general, especially in the position we're in. But Ricky Holmes has a few months short of 2 years on Duffy, and Wilder would have already known how best to utilise him.Funny that, coming from someone who would have preferred Ricky Holmes to Mark Duffy.
Well HCDM has pointed out what I was getting at, you just go against everything you say without even realising.Well, he won Coventry's POTY award for starters. Slight negative is that he doesn't score much but he's a very good passer of the ball with good vision so will undoubtedly provide the level of service that has been missing from midfield for so long. He's also a left footer so will add some balance.
Signing a goalscoring midfielder alongside him, with a bit more height and physicality would be the perfect combination centrally. Just as an aside, Wilder has said he wants a left footed midfielder which is promising as it means it's highly likely we'll be in for him.
