It's a football fans forum with the media circus that surrounds it , with multi opinions . It's not the Oxford or Cambridge debating society, albeit I get the impression some would love it to be.

It's not about debating a issue , or how long a thread can keep running , it's about throwing your opinion into the hat . Somebody will be having a poll soon on the ethics of posting .

It's not a private Forum were you have to be sponsored and seconded to join.

UTB

So I can't get a leather seat by the fireplace and a snifter of the good Port then?

Bollocks.

Are you being serious,he has nobody to blame but himself,4 different managers have failed to appreciate his talent, were they all wrong ?
I believe he does have talent - don't know him personally but talking to a friend of his family at the weekend they suggested as many on here have that it's down to attitude - trouble is you have to recognise that yourself to change don't you - no-one is going to get through if your not ready to hear it.

Diego and Ched could be a useful partnership for them!

I think Diego's problem is that he began to believe his own hype, before he'd even made an impression on the first team. A few youtube videos, an instagram and a twitter account and the occasional free pair of boots from Adidas does not a professional footballer make. One very unfortunate injury later, but followed again with little form and then continued belief in his own (now unfounded) hype (having proved very little, for very long) and unsurprisingly he's out the door.

Unless Brizzle was his only offer, this rather proves that his ego is greater than his willingness to build a career.

On the trial offered last week (he was due to start training tomorrow):

Wilson said: “We want to see if he’s somebody we could maybe utilise this season. Diego has great potential and it’s time for him to start realising his potential now.

“He’s maybe lost his way a bit and it’s up to him to grasp this opportunity. Hopefully we can get the best out of him.”

He probably didn't like the suggestion from Wilson that he had to do something and had lost his way, as obviously it was all down to the fact that the four United managers since Wilson didn't give him a chance.

The last time I checked Bristol City are a division above us. Could be a better move than staying with us.

Good luck to the lad, hope he proves me wrong in saying there is no way on earth he will ever score a Championship goal for them, cos he wont be on the pitch.

Might not be in the first team? Good luck to the lad anyway, not sure what went wrong but he did seem a class above all the other young players whenever I watched them play.

"....One of several players recruited to bolster City's Under-21 development squad, De Girolamo will initially train with the first team squad.....
Depending on how he fares, he will either play for Jamie McAllister's Under-21 side or City's senior Championship squad....."

But we released him. Good luck to him if he proves me wrong but he desperately needs games to start his career, and the odds of getting them at a club who can afford to bid for Andre Gray? Very remote...

The lad needs some first team statistics next to his name, not more U21 stardom.

I don't wish him any harm, but he needs to grow up and knuckle down wherever he goes. Would have thought he was better in Chesterfield where he could get first team football rather than Brizzle where he will at best make the bench once in a while.

So he turns down Bristol City for a trial at Chesterfield?

Personally, I think he might be better off away from Chesterfield, his family and his mates and learn to stand on his own two feet, under the guidance of the very trustworthy Pembo and a manager with a proven commitment to young talent.

How does it work with him having been developed by us and then released....do we get any money for him?

Living where I do I have a few Bristol City supporters asking me what he's like. I can only tell them that he was supposed to be this prodigious talent that never showed anything special on the rare occasion he got a first team opportunity.

No, as we released him, probably so we didnt have to keep paying his wages for him to rot in our under 21s.

Good luck to the lad.

Totally lost his way with us after his agent and dad started touting him as a superstar.

Stay off twatter lad, train with a better attitude and it will all work out.

Who's his agent?
