2 People at work (One Wendy & One Blade) have said that the reason we have only got a lower allocation is because they have condemned the corner stand at swillsborough!!! If thats true it's funny as feck! :D:D
I have heard that actually. Doesn't meet regulations now apaprently.

It was supposed to be condemned both of the last times we played, only to be reopened at the last minute.

It (like the rest of the ground) has had virtually no maintenance for years and therefore is no longer deemed good enough to pass a safety certificate.

Wednesday haven't always been that committed to having a valid safety cert. though have they ;)

ill go in my builders gear, got health and safety pass, take the nail gun, and bring home the bacon :D

boss at work was sat next to Billy Sharp's sister on the kop on Saturday and overheard her saying that Billy has had a shirt printed for if he scores on saturday at the sty, she didn't say what he had printed on the shirt so lets hope he scores and we get to see this shirt :D:D

He may then of course be booked or sent off due to the rules on players wearing slogans (depending on its content :))

Didn't Robbie Fowler get booked for wearing that t-shirt supporting the Liverpool dockers? Or was it just for being a gobby Scouse twat?

No idea if it's still valid, but around that controversion time a Fifa ruling was brought in stating that undershirts must contain no messages of any kind, but be of only one plain colour.

i could understand advertising say kit is nike and undershirt is umbero, but a plain tshirt with a slogan on it.

dont think he would mind though if he got booked, hell just want to celebrate!

problem being it can incite opposition players & fans etc. And/or offend people.

I personally havent got a problem with it, but the game has to be sanitised these days.

we've got sweepstake at work as to what the shirt has on it :D

so SV would have no chance with his Christa top :D

i could see it incite opposition, but could be worth it for a yellow :D

Going back to the t-shirt thing, it was also added to the rulebook that a player cannot cover his face with a mask or any other piece of clothing. A mask? Somebody chuck a pig mask to one of our goal-scorers, please. :D

I believe that the term "If you don't fucking float, you're going to drown" would be a suitable response to their perchance for bouncing...

they always do that, every fixture they put a placeholder up.

A message from the coppers....

Plod said:
We are committed to ensuring your safety at this fixture, and to assist in this we would ask that at the end of the game you remain seated to allow the stadium frontage to clear.

"This should take no longer than 10 minutes and would greatly assist in ensuring you get back to your modes of transport as quickly and safely as possible.

"A tannoy message will announce when the front is clear and you can leave the stadium."
