Would be the first accusition for me strong athlete, pacey and 23 years old centre half, Plymouth stand out for a couple of years now and there captain.

Stereo typical accusation of a certain type . You been watching too many Blue Bloods on Tele. Kids done nowt wrong . Green Army .

Saw him in the playoffs and said to my mate he'd be a decent signing. Can't really judge on a couple of games but if he's captain at 22 there must be something about him.

Not only that, but he's got a lot of games under his belt too (230!). And he's young enough to improve considerably more.

Always heard good things about this fella, and have done for a few years now, but never been impressed when I've seen him play live. Be interesting to see if Wilder is interested in him having just had a couple of seasons in that division!

Barnsley in serious lower league cherry-picking mode...

The lad's been called out a few times on here and I'd hoped we'd be in for him but it doesn't seem likely doesn't?

I've got doubts about Edgar, but a lot is getting the right partnership at CB....and as pointed out previously, some are going have to stay!
Personally, I'd hope we're looking at players like Curtis Nelson at Plymouth. Fast, strong, young with potential...dunno whether he's signed a new contract yet or if other's are in of him...he's from Newcastle so might fancy a move further north.

I thought a club of our size in League 1 would be in the market for the best young talent of League 2. But it's clear from missing out on Tafazolli that we don't have a pot to piss in, so you can definitely forget Aaron Pierre and Curtis Nelson who are better players from what I've seen. Looks like we're in the market for frees, not necessarily a bad thing but I'm personally not feeling optimistic at present.

I get the feeling I'm going to be increasingly frustrated at the lack of movement at United, we need to act quickly or we are going to end up with players that nobody else is interested in.... Woolford, Hammond, sammon etc.

I know it's not exactly what you mean, but players like those will not be coming to Bramall Lane, as a bare minimum I think Wilder wants hard working players with some athletic ability. I just worry about the quality side of things.

Supposedly in Sheffield today having a meeting with us at the training ground? Anyone else hear that?

No Grappler, but I like your post :)

Sure he weren't headed up to Dingle land with them being interested?

ps: where you heard this buddy?

face to face from one of my friends son's who is sometimes ITK, via various sources.

Heard this on f/b earlier ( I know I know) him and McFadzean at shirecliffe today.

I doubt we'll sign him and McFadzean. Neither are left footed, both would cost fees and neither would come to be third choice CB.

Wilder will know exactly how good Nelson is, so if it's true about him I'll be pleased. He'd go well with Mark Beevers.

I don't think we'll sign Nelson though, we're more likely to get McFadzean and a left footer as the first choice two.

Probably right Ricky, being at shirecliffe for talks is a positive, but no guarantee of signing them.
