Bardsley has been ill, wants to come to us, negotiations ongoing.
O'Neill to decide about Cahill by end of month.
Horsfield probably off to Scunny, permanent deal.
No other transfers in the pipeline, Robson quite happy having captured Martin.

Cahill decision could be delayed if Mellberg goes to Juve? Hope we get him though would be a great permanemt addition

quite happy with getting a player on loan who underachieved at plymouth?

Thats ambition if ever i saw it!

underachieved? :)

got a few plymouth contacts (i dont like calling people from plymouth mates :D)
they say he underachieved when he played for them, capable of much more.

well surely thats a good thing? :), the general consensus I got from reading around/listening to the Plymouth reaction to him signing is that they were gutted we'd "stolen" him from another loan move to them.

a good thing that a player is not putting the effort in to become something better?

I mean a good thing that people have seen that he is capable of much more. From what people were saying they made out he was one of the big reasons (along with other players) behind their upturn in form. Surely can't have been that bad effort wise if they wanted to extend his loan?

might have been good though at plymouths level. so if we get him to perform what he is capable of it will be good, but if hes not going to put the effort in then i would show him the door.

just hope he dont play against the pigs!

Give the lad a chance!

Thats been better than our level all season, so surely its an improvement. I'd start with him instead of Tonge on Saturday, move Hendrie into the middle.

bit of a risk shoving a new player into a winning side?

Yes and No but we havn't exactly been on the best run of form lately have we?

I wouldn't say it matters if we are a winning side or not - if the player is good enough he'll gel pretty quickly with the rest of the side. He'll be told a job to do, and he'll do it.

carney had a good game so i wouldnt drop him, so would have to be hendrie but id like him in in a derby game.,

Definately wouldn't drop Carney.

It would be a toss up between Tonge or Hendrie. On Tonge's last 15-20mins I would definately keep him in the side but he looked so un-interested the rest of the time which can prove costly. Allthough I didn't really see Hendrie get involved too often.

tonge wide, monty in middle? id tend not to put a player in a new team when it comes to a derby :D

Didn't really harm us last time :D

who was that? cant remember that far back :D

Centre Back

good job im not paid to remember :D

if it were down to me, hed be on the bench not starting.

in fact i dont give a shit who starts as long as we win.

Not really,

Its not like it is a continuous winning streak. But we made a few changes from the Bolton win. So it does depend how you look at it really.

I think Tonge needs dropping, so I see no problem bringing Hendrie in to the middle and putting Martin on the left as an only change.

It's funny how different people see games, isn't it? :)

I thought Hendrie was shite until his goal - added to that another STUPID booking - and Tonge had a great 2nd half on the back of which I'd hope Robson tries to convince Tonge to build on.

Infact keenz, the baptism of fire does seem to have positive effects on us :D....

Neill Collins - Played well, won 2-1

Bobby Davison - Goes without saying.

Darren Bullock - Won 2-1

Also Foxy, didn't Wayne Quinn make his loan debut for us in 2003 when we won them 3-1 at home??

Although not sure if he counts cos he played for us before too:p

Nah, If I remember rightly he played in the Liverpool cup match and away at Pompey... the two games before the derby :)

Plus he doesn't really count anyway :D

Yeah i weren't too sure when it was. I can just remember it been the begining of January.
