We are quite used to seeing our transfer targets going elsewhere, coupled with our boards usual lack of ambition. Granted they do occasionally fork out, Brayford etc, but we often see players that we have been pursuing signing for smaller clubs, as is the case with Revell. For glass half full supporters like myself, it's a blow to our confidence of seeing a side that can seriously compete next season. However, I have to say that I have every confidence in Chris Wilder & wait to see what backing he will be given from the top and, which, if any, further players we recruit between now and the start of the season. Too early to criticise for me.

Seems to be on a hiding to nowt at the minute, an upper mid table position at Northampton would be considered a successful campaign, however It would not be thought as such here and he looks like he is being forced into attempting to make bricks without straw.

It's the same owd though. It's the summer, the precise point where you can relax, enjoy the break and dream a little.

I thinks it's a reaction to the signing of CW, his hard positive stance, dumping 17 players, suggesting new squad assembled by 23rd then nothing but 2 signings. I have constantly said don't get your expectations up, there's no way we would dump 17 and shell out on 17 transfer fees or even 10!

Must admit though with others assembling impressive squads (well Charlton are) we still don't have a recognised first team Center Back in the club. I'm just hoping (as I did with N#1 & 2) that all will be revealed to my delight....... won't it?
