i know i shouldn't but i am starting to get a little worried. Just a little !

LOL how long have you followed United .......................... no need to rush when we can panic buy a few days before the deadline

CW has already spent all the money available to him on wages for his 2 signings so now he has to become a magician and not only get someone to sign some of those tossers on the transfer list, but to actually give us some money for them before he can sign anyone else.

Yes Wilder said last week there will not be any new signings for a few weeks ................................. translated from United speak that means the money has run out and we now have to scrape the barrel for free's, crocks and old has beens to supplement a few from the academy unless we can sell our best player to the first club that offers close to a million quid.

Which Donny and Northampton signings would you have liked us to sign?
i am more looking at the business they are doing to shape their squad rather than who...... Obviously Donny signings will not be what we need but my point is that they are signing players.

As an outside shout i think Alex Revell would have been a decent target man if indeed that is what we wanted.

And that is exactly what has to happen, but it will be used to fund player wages just like last season.... The centre half problem is bigger than we all think..

But What's the problem with this club and signing a couple of players, come on board, why always the stupidity every where else on the pitch when it comes to signings but never any centre halfs..it's got to change, won't matter who's the manager if we don't sort this once and for all... In desperation, anybody else wish Collins never left, that's how bad it's getting for me.. Sad days, come on owners pull your fingers out.. UTB..

As part of 4 centre backs in the squad then Semple really has a chance to become a very good player.

But lets get the experience in asap. 3 centre backs to come in as new signings is a huge ask.

I would have hoped to have had at least one of them in by now.

Yes, i worry, but our track record for quality of signings over the last few years has been piss poor..... IMO

Collins was wank.....please don't go down that road again!

No we can't the loan window opens a few days later.

Oh wait no it doesn't this year, but we forgot.

Nevermind we'll get them in January

Possibly (and I'm really just spitballing here) it could be that given the relative quality of our targets, they have more than one offer to consider so it's taking longer. Let the Gary McSheffery's of this world sign for Donny, it's as good as it's going to get for them at this stage of their career. I'm hoping in the next few weeks there'll be some movement for us.

Didn’t he also say he wanted 3CBs, 1CM, another winger, a GK and a target man and to have most of them in place by the time we returned on the 23rd?

The lying two faced bastard.

Barney, has Wilder gone long enough since his appointment without signing a CB yet to be a bad manager?

If he doesn't sign any until after the first game as per Adkins, heavy criticism will be more than warranted, yes.

Surely the money saved on the released players wages (a dozen or so ) must give CW some scope to sign out of contract players without a massive transfer fee..

I don't recall wilder saying there wouldn't be a signing for a few weeks? Didn't he just say its a quiet time right now, but lots is going on behind the scenes? I think one will arrive this week. Just a hunch though. If not as long as we have the majority of players in by the first friendly then I'll be happy. That's still weeks away. When Dan Burn and/or Shaun Hutchinson sign somewhere else then I'll be disappointed, but that said we've probably no chance of Burn anyway.

I'd rather us wait and get in the right players, we could sign players, we could have signed Revell but he isn't good enough for us. When we start missing out on players that would've benefited us I'll worry...and I'm not including Tafazolli in that cos I don't want us to pay 8k a week for any L1 center-back.

A player at that who has never played above league two level, fucking crackers if true.

There are certain positions we have to strengthen :: centre back for one. Let's show a bit of patience as we want the right ones in not money grabbing
players (tafazoli ?) Players can't sign new contract still 1st of July ime sure things will develop in due course but as the manager says they have to come for the right reasons, easy to rush into deals and regret it.

Then how come every other team is signing out of contract players now? Or am I wrong in assuming Revell and Tafazolli were still contracted to their respective clubs, and a fee has been paid?

Is anyone surprised?

We've got fuck all money, which is why Wilder was brought in and he's more than likely been told to move on the 'magnificent at been shit 7' before he can bring anyone in.

Prepare for more Coutts etc come August

We've got fuck all money, because McCabe cynically slashed the ST price by 10% to stave off the mass 'fuck off'. How easily are people pleased, eh? And how much smoke and mirrors does it take for people to comprehend that the million bucks spunked on anew pitch may have helped this year bring in two £500k centre backs who might just have turned grinding draws/disappointing losses into wins this year?

Keep wishing, bladesmen. The loan period/panic buying spell is drawing near.

I bet they go up 20% should Wilder work the miracle and get us promoted ;)
