Just a side point on Wikipedia, which is generally a top source of info by dedicated volunteers etc. However I've occasionally tried updating stuff on United and if you think there are forum police on here try doing it on Wikipedia! Everything needs a quote to prove stuff which is totally understandable but finding articles to say stuff like "John Gannon was a really good corner taker" or anything from less known players and some nobody just deletes it and says where's your proof?! Not that I'd go on Wikipedia to write that John Gannon took good corners but you catch my drift!
For pity's sake, if we do sign him can we spell his name properly? Ryan Tafazolli. Two LLs. It's not that difficult. And while I'm being pernickety, as he's the left-sided CB, can he have the number 6 shirt, please, Chris, with his right-sided partner getting number 5? (And don't forget we need a number 9 this season.)
Think everyone's getting a bit carried away on Tafazolli, from the Mansfield fans I've spoken to the general consensus is that he can be quite inconsistent and is culpable for the odd clanger. I'd much rather we made Curtis Nelson our first choice - a fantastic athlete, northern lad, captain of his current club which performed well in League 2 and he's only 23.
Well said. They should be numbered in a way that, theoretically, would make our first-choice team numbered 1-11. So for a start Brayford needs to be No 2, assuming he stays which I am pretty sure he will. He only got the No 5 because Maguire had freed it up. No 9 is a problem, because Billy insists on No 10. Maybe when CW has decided on his first-choice strike force, one of them (McNulty? Che? A new signing?) will get the centre-forward shirt.Couldn't agree more mate. When James Beattie first signed and got the number 6 shirt I nearly had a heart attack!
With such a turnover of players it shouldn't be too hard to have a fresh start and get everyone numbered up nicely to satisfy my (and apparently your) O.C.D.
Considering the number of people that constantly mis-spelled names such as Jay McEveley, Michael Tonge, Billy Sharp and Connor Sammon - and yet somehow never managed to get either Diego DiGirolamo or Connor Dimaio wrong - I think you might be on a hiding to nothing there. For pity's sake, if we do sign him can we spell his name properly? Posh fans tweet from a couple of hours ago. Could mean owt but perhaps?

I'm hearing Sheff Utd are close to signing another player that puts money ahead of ambition. Rather them than us I say. #pufc
In response to "@SuperPosh7" you'd have to question the ambition of anybody picking Peterborough over Sheffield United even if money weren't a factor![]()
So four L's then? For pity's sake, if we do sign him can we spell his name properly? Ryan Tafazolli. Two LLs.

Thankfully, noone has spotted the irony that I have - in fact - misspelt Diego De Girolamo's name!Considering the number of people that constantly mis-spelled names such as Jay McEveley, Michael Tonge, Billy Sharp and Connor Sammon - and yet somehow never managed to get either Diego DiGirolamo or Connor Dimaio wrong - I think you might be on a hiding to nothing there.

Presumably you mean Conor Sammon?Considering the number of people that constantly mis-spelled names such as Jay McEveley, Michael Tonge, Billy Sharp and Connor Sammon - and yet somehow never managed to get either Diego DiGirolamo or Connor Dimaio wrong - I think you might be on a hiding to nothing there.
Well, he's pointed that one out already himself. I thought someone as 'on the ball' as you would have seen that...and Diego De Girolamo.

But a hell of a lot more fun than we imagined it could possibly be on June 2 just a few weeks ago. I'm honestly not sure if I can take this excitement for another two months.Today's boring.
Back to just speculating about signings rather than getting all giddy after the dirty deed's been done ( & twice, dammit!)
Bloody anticlimactic or what?![]()
