Never got the warnock wilder link. I am sure they have never been together in any situation. Being true Sheffield guys too they are bound to dislike each other.

Didn't Wilder play under NW?

Billy McEwan gave Wilder his debut in the FA Cup match against Brighton in January 1987. Wilder played under McEwan, Bergara, Bassett before moving to Rotherham.in 1992. Steve Thompson signed him from Bradford in March 1998. Wilder played under him and Steve Bruce before moving to Brighton

Nice Wilder facts Silent.

Remember his debut, on an icy pitch v Brighton as you say, neat and tidy, and liked to get forward.
Think we drew, and won the replay at the Goldstone ground.

Dosen`t seem 29 years ago!

I believe it was the first time we'd won an away replay for something like 30 years! I know it was a long time.

I`d forgot about that, yes, you are right, then I think we did it a few times in the following seasons

Remember the Watford and Colchester ones vividly.

It was 56 years. We beat York away in 1930-1 after drawing at home.

We were unbeaten in FA Cup replays anywhere between losing at Birmingham in 1984 and losing at home to Arsenal in 2005. It was a tremendous run. The full list:

1986-7 won 3rd round replay 2-1 at Brighton
1988-9 won 3rd round replay 2-1 at home to Mansfield; won 4th round replay 2-0 at Colchester
1989-90 won 4th round replay 2-1 at Watford; drew 5th round replay 0-0 at Barnsley; won 2nd replay 1-0 at Barnsley
1991-2 won 4th round replay 3-1 at home to Charlton
1992-3 won 3rd round replay 4-2 at Burnley; won QF replay on pens at home to Blackburn
1995-6 won 3rd round replay 1-0 at home to Arsenal
1997-8 won 3rd round replay 2-1 at Bury; won 4th round replay 1-0 at home to Ipswich; won QF replay on pens at home to Coventry
1998-9 won 3rd round replay 4-3 at Notts County
1999-00 won 3rd round replay on pens at Rushden & Diamonds
2004-5 won 4th round replay on pens at home to West Ham

That's a pretty good record.

Unfortunately missed the York one!, went to the others.

Got Steve Foley in my head regarding the Brighton replay.

Some folk are far too statto about us on here.
Thankful for it though.

Warnock is a motivator not DoF material. For a start he won't be let within a million miles of transfers and contracts. What exactly would he do other than appear in the media with his new shiny face and hair darker then Ronald Reagans?

Aye. I'd have him back as a manager in a heartbeat, but Warnock would be a terrible DoF. He does make the occasional inspired signing, but I suspect many of his signings simply wouldn't work for any other manager (his "football gift", for want of a better phrase, is the ability to fire players up).

Could we not just maybe hire Warnock part time as DOF and 'Player bollocker' so he could still travel to see his wife and when the players are twats we unleash Neil into the dressing room.

I'd be happy with Wilder. I'm not calling for Adkins head because I know he's not really the problem. That said he's done nothing special for us

Magic Mike is right up there when you want to know what a Twitter twat looks like.

He must have fallen out with Agent Jim who provided all the managerial appointment tips enabling him to spend on cars houses luxury holidays gold shoes etc etc, because he's reduced to asking - on twitter - bet365 for a price on Wilder. Coral, Ladbroke and Victir Chandler must have closed his accounts!

:)

my worry is McCall=Scottish players. We need someone with knowledge of the agricultural leagues.

Let's not forget his contacts in England and Wilder has knowledge of the agricultural leagues, however I think he's not the right man and we are looking for someone with Barry Fry type knowledge or whoever is finding Peterborough their gems

STRAPPY isn't content to simply share the news that everyone can now see...

"Mr Adkins was sacked last night!"

Always one step ahead you see. Why he didn't post that last night though, I have no idea.

Not that it really matters one bit when he was sacked. Not that it takes much working out that it will have been yesterday.

If you're reading this SJH in your "logged off" state, I've sussed you mate - don't worry.

your theory doesn't explain his 100% accurate team sheet and formation leaks though does it. I welcome all his club related scoops just wish he didn't to do the teamsheet stuff.

Apparently "he" is quite the talk of the SUFC offices....
