Yes, but the OP says he’s coming with six others meaning he might be in a van, or a light goods vehicle which do come under the regulations.
3 in the Brighton car. 3 in the Hove car.
Never forget, they hate each other.
Hove get really pissed off because the club gets called Brighton.
Goes way back to the great Seagull plague of 1726. Most of the population of Hove were killed, but it barely touched Brighton.
So the club badge is just rubbing salt in the wounds for them.
Little known fact. The pier was built in 1822 by Lord Benjamin of Brighton, as a coastal lookout, so that peasants coming from Hove could be spotted and intercepted.

Christ that's abit of a trek! Good half our on the tram then a 10-15mins walk from college.
I have a couple of mates who are Chelsea fans and the last couple of times this is what they've done (and loved it for the friendly banter on the tram)
They had a couple of bad experiences parking near or in the multi storey so they tried this

Avoid the bus gate on Arundel gate on the way home if that’s not already been mentioned

It will be great coming through Woodseats on a Saturday match day
Cos there won't be loads of traffic on every other route suggested?

Takes about 15 mins to get through Woodseats, less if arriving early for a beer. It's the easiest/quickest option of all mentioned if coming up the M1.

I'd come off at J29 (Chesterfield) then A61 into Sheffield. It's then pretty much a straight road (Chesterfield Road) towards the Lane. Head for the Sheaf View which was mentioned above, just off Chesterfield Road, shortish walk to the game. Post game benefit of being able to get straight off back to the M1.

Don't use the Abbaydale road bypass on Nether Edge road though, the natives are restless and have snipers out.

Norton roundabout through to Woodseats all the pelican crossings not to mention coming through Chesterfield
Just go Sheffield Parkway. Nunnery Square park and ride if you want or straight into city centre arrive before noon easy journey

I'd just drive into the centre and park at Q-Park by the station, which is very easy to find from the parkway and 10 mins' from the ground.

Problem with the tram park n ride is that the tram doesn't stop near the stadium. Nearest stop is Granville Rd / City College which is 10-15 mins walk.
