We gave them 2 goals last time, hopefully the defence carries on from yesterday and who knows

Give em a game this time. We might just undo em. Defend really tightly and then Try and hit em on the break

4 points from next 2 games and we have a small but fighting chance .
We've just took a 6 pointer from Luton.

Fuck em another loss means fuck all at this point.
With a points deduction almost certain for Forest and another one possible for Everton, we aren't out of it. Admittedly we need a big upturn in form but we've shown glimpses of it under Wilder. Beat Brighton and we could in theory be four points off safety. Luton's next three games are Man U, Liverpool and Man City (Admit they could get something v Man U).

Struggling what formation or 11 to put out here. Who plays LWB? Do we add another attacker in to support Archer and McAtee?

Luton did em.

I dunno, maybe we play a stronger team than the FA cup one.

We’re down. Shackles off, let’s go.
Yes they flooded the Brighton penalty area from the kick off and pressed them back. Scored after thirty seconds and had five forwards in there. I’m sure we’ve learned from the cup game

What's point in fearing anyone? Fuck em another loss means fuck all at this point.
In two games we’ve sat off and let them play and they look very pretty, neat and tidy. In both games we’ve then woken up and got at them, got back in the game and then ease back again

Yesterday, we showed like we did against wolves and West Ham that if we press and get at teams then we give ourselves a chance

We shouldn’t fear them. Press them and make life hard for them and every other team and see how it goes.

We’ve lost games to big scorelines often to top drawer finishes but the problems start much higher up the pitch.

Brighton aren’t Luton but that shouldn’t matter, against Man City at home we pressed and got back into the game.

Injuries are mounting up again but we should also be getting a few more back soon and even the likes of Osborne getting some discipline in his game. The whole squad will be needed but let’s pick the games like Brighton where we should be able to compete if we get into them

Brighton seem to be one of those teams who are really inconsistent. On their day they're right up there with the best of the teams in the league. If that Brighton turn up, I can't see anything other than a hefty defeat. If we can do what we did v Luton and frustrate then early on, we could force another off day for them.
The only way we salvage anything from this season is going back to the Wilder side of old, where every opponent had a off day.

If we let them play they will pick us apart. We need to press, press, press, press with 2 pacey forwards (Archer and Osula) putting their centre backs under pressure. We can them use their pace to hit them on the break. If we get into them and give them no time we will disrupt their rhythm and give us a chance

Just play the same team as Luton.

Possible exception of Davies for Hamer if the latter doesn’t shake off his knock.

Hopefully Brereton-Diaz and McBurnie back to strengthen the bench.

Just need a disciplined performance.

Fancy us not to be so daft this time around.

It’s Brighton, one of the only teams to have given us an away point this season. If we don’t overly respect them we can get something at home as well.

Luton definitely won't get any points against city because that's an FA cup game, it's man u Liverpool and villa next three in the league for them

The player we need to stop is Groβ. He absolutely ran Brighton's midfield last time. Everything went through him. He was always in space to receive the ball and quickly moved it on. Stop him and we have a chance.

Brighton are an excellent footballing side, them and Bournemouth are the best 2 sides to come to the Lane this season " Newcastle and Villa included". We have to up our physical game and compete for 90 mins, if we back off and try to frustrate them they will cut through us like butter.

Our worst nightmare, clever, tricky, quick, intelligent players with the added bonus of knowing how to con refs when one of our players does occasionally get near one of them

Witoma is back from the Asian Cup which is a positive for them but but if Joao is out then that evens that up. Really need to close their defence down

We have some choices do we develop players like Brooks knowing it may cost us points

Or go to Osborn who will be more solid defensively but maybe won’t be here next season.

Osborn for me. We have plenty of time for Brooks. If Osborn can be more dogged and more of a spoiler then I think this is what the team requires right now.

There can be enough about Archer, McAtee and Hamer to create the odd opening. I’d say stopping Brighton playing is a very important asset.

It’s very small, but there is a small chunk of daylight and it’s amazing what a bit of belief can do. Look at the Bassett first top flight season for the best example.
