After listening to MA yesterday it seems that he is willing to use the younger players and work with them to improve. I found it interesting that he used the word mercenary when talking about players coming to the club. Is it that he has spoken to a number of agents and found that they are asking for more than they are worth?

I am more than happy to have a youthful team, one that will hopefully play together for a number of years. When younger players play they will always show a desire and willingness and are eager to work for each other - they just have to have the ability!

It will be fascinating to see if he continues to bring in younger players and also what the policy will be in the summer.

I'd imagine thats the case, but also a possible bearing of the attitudes of the odd loanee we already have.

I think that's always good, the only question at the moment is, if we want them.... can we convert some of the young loanee's to perminant fixtures?

Mercenary is an interesting choice of word. My guess is he's referring to Premiership reserve teamers who'd who sooner pick up a fat pay cheque than leave to play in the Championship.

What we need is an old head whose legs aren't up to their current team's needs, but will do for us. Someone who just wants to make the most of what they have left. We've had a few blinding OAPs in the past. Cowans, McCall, McGrath, Unsworth, Saunders...

...and one or two shockers like Rush, Hendrie and Curle (I hated the sly cheating twat but others will disagree).

That's my thinking too - Are the two guys we have just signed available in the summer, or are they here to get experience and go back to their home clubs?

I am sure that it will be busy at BDTBL in the summer anyway and I'm equally sure that we won't have such a threadbare squad next year like we have this, and had last.
