Would like to see EEL.. Wright... O'Connell as back three but just can't see that being changed. Also Lavery to start over Clarke.

Moore........ Basham, EEL, JO............. Freeman, Coutt, Duffy, Fleck, Lafferty.......... Sharp, Lavery

Subs... Ramsdale, Scougal, Brown, Done, Clarke, Wright, Reed

Matty at left wing back, maybe, as the game finished yesterday? He wants to be a striker, and CW has said he wants him to be one, but if he's not scoring goals that doesn't prevent him from bringing his energy and crossing ability into the side from a different position.

That gives us:

Moore
Basham EEL O'Connell
Freeman Fleck Coutts Duffy Done
Lavery Sharp

Subs: Ramsdale Wright Brown Lafferty Scougall Clarke Reed

Controversial! - stick with Leon. Man management & all that - you can't just keep chopping & changing, he deserves a run (however shit he was yesterday). Give the Billy-Leon partnership a chance to grow.

Moore
Basham EEL O'Connell
Freeman Coutts Fleck Lafferty
Duffy
Sharp Clarke

Sammon was shit, Woolford was shit... Leon will have to go some to achieve that standard. He has not hit the form he is capable of and the others around him have reached. So I tend to think you may have a point.. but it's a gamble and every point is vital..

Yeah, I'm just saying shit in terms of his performance yesterday, not him being shit generally. The excellent Duffy was similarly poor yesterday.

Just think that Leon deserves a bit of an extended run to allow him to hit his stride. But with the proviso you mention - we can't afford passengers. And, really, he'll need to be scoring to earn his keep because he's pretty much the polar opposite of Done's hyperactivity.

Stick with the winning formula. Play Done and Sharp up front. Clarke and Lavarey and Scouggs to come on from the bench.
But I've never found a decent away pub in Bury for a pint before the game, so suggestions please.,..

Strange because Saturday to Monday. I can forsee quite a few outfield changes which might actually helps because id say our reserves will be far better than there reserves or just hammer their tiring 1st team as the 2nd half progresses

I know Bury were on an 8 game losing run we had them at lane. Have they won since
-------------------
Edit
Since had a look & no they still haven't won, bury last victory was 27th September fills ne with dread somehow

If they're all fit and available (EEL still with us???), I'd go:-

Moore
EEL-Wright-JOC
Freeman ---- Lafferty
Coutts-Fleck
Duffy
Clarke-Lavery

So we go again tomorrow, with a big following by the sound of it. I'm dead against playing two games in 3 days, but that's how it is.

Bury are without a win in fourteen matches, so our usual starting XI has enough in it to see out a win, but for me I'd like to see some changes come in for this one and see some of the fringe players get a chance.

I'd go for...

-------------------Moore------------------
Freeman-Wilson-Wright-O'Connell-Lafferty
-----------Coutts------------Reed-------------
--------------------Scougall---------------------
----------Lavery-----------Done---------------

Very risky, but still a side filled with good players. EEL for Wilson if he's injured...can't say I know what his situation is but I'd certainly like another look at the lad. Pack the bench with the talent in case it goes tits up. Lavery absolutely has to start for me; he's earned it.

Thoughts?

Barmy.

Manchester then a tram to Bury has always been my favoured route.

Deffo don't need wholesale changes for today - wilder has tended to be fairly consistent in selection over this season.

Get beaten and we could easily slip to 3rd place again and lose the momentum we've been building.

That said I wouldn't be opposed to resting a player like duffy where we have no cover atm - or maybe make a couple of subs in the second half.

Our players will be no more "tired" than their's.
Fuckin hell, we don't play again till Saturday. I'm sure they will all want to play and will be fired up after the last minute winner yesterday, so let em go again (except the donkey).

The donkey, that non-footballer Runaround Nogoals isn't in the first XI, thank Pele.

Best Pub for a good cheap(ish) pint is the Wetherspoons called LLoyds across from the Metro station in town centre which is abot 10- 15 mins walk from the ground. Mind you the bastards wouldnt let me in last week because they said I was too pissed and I am in my sixties ! There is another Wetherspooons 100 yards towards the town called Robert Peel (on the Rock opposite the Church in centre)

So were you too pissed or were they discriminating against you because you're over 60?

That's fair enough . I just don't think a couple of ( good ) cameos automatically qualify him to start as the best strike partner for Sharp that we have .

First and foremost I don't think Lavery is anything like the prolific second striker we all want . Secondly , whilst Done is clearly not the prolific partner we want either , he offers us an option of benefiting the one player we have that is a prolific goal scorer ...... Sharp !

I'd rather we set up to keep sharp banging them in . He is top scorer in the Division and we are the second highest scoring team in the Division after all !!

If we want the prolific second marksman then we need to buy him this January as we don't have him at the club right now .

Keep sharp ' shit lining ' and owning the penalty area ...... play Done so he can do it .
After today I'm not sure I'm any wiser about who should start up front. He played a significant part in 3 goals today, and I suppose its a credit to him that he recovered from setting up their goal.

Deserves the shirt as much as the others in my view. Perhaps Wilder will go with horses for courses until one of them starts hitting the net
