It got me thinking looking at the MeeWees on the background as to the order of who is the ultimate to least legend.

I guess age is going to come into this as the +70's always say Hagan whereas the +45's tend to say Curry. The other interesting part is between Deane and Edwards who would be highest?

Mine therefore is

Curry
Hagan (based on what I heard from seniors)
Woodward
Hockey
Faulkes (from Folklore)
Edwards
Deane
Alan Kelly
Morgan
Booker
Brown

You're bottom three wouldn't make my top30

Sorry, that should have ended as " played for so many matches at the top flight, unless Darren can tell us otherwise.

I'm surprised that he is not depicted on the background too - Come on Foxy! :-)

Agree, Hodgy made the second highest number of appearances of all time, only beaten by Joe Shaw.

A one club man and England International. I've never noticed before but he should be up there.

Tony Currie
Joe Shaw
Alan Woodward
Alan Hodgkinson
Graham Shaw
Brian Deane
Dane Whitehouse
Carl Bradshaw
Len Badger
Trevor Hockey
Alex Sabella
Bob Booker
Gil Reece
Billy Dearden
Keith Eddy
Tom Mcallister
Keith Edwards
Peter Ndlovu
Michael Brown
Stuart Mcall
Nick Montgomery ( it's a joke but he deserves better than the press he gets)

Mick Jones would be in there but I still after all these years can remember standing on Shoreham and feeling betrayed by him and Dick Wragg. Will never forgive either.

Jimmy Hagan, I only saw in one testimonial so can't really judge or class him as a legend in my lifetime any more then fatty or nudger.

Brian Deane
Tony Currie
Alan Kelly
Alan Woodward
Michael Brown
Tony Agana
Keith Edwards
Simon Tracey
Bob Booker
Phil Jagielka

An undoubted Blades legend whom rarely gets a mention is Billy Gillespie. Probably because he was before nearly everyone's time! His goal scoring record was very good for club and country. In fact I believe one of his Ireland caps or shirt is in the museum at BL. Has to be top 5 based on his record. I always take into account players before my time because they shouldn't be ignored or forgotten.

My top 10:-
1. Tony Currie
2. Alan Woodward
3. Jimmy Hagan
4. Joe Shaw
5. Billy Gillespie
6. Brian Deane
7. Keith Edwards
8. Mick Jones
9. Alan Hodgkinson
10. Phil Jagielka
