🐷‘S have only got Vaughan
Clinton Woods, most of the Arctic Monkeys, Tango, conspiracy nutter Paul Joseph Watson and Mark the Pitsmoor Armed Robber (he was in the courts section in the Stir you know!)

And Paul Carrack, who is a fantastic singer but forever sullied by the fact that he is a pig.
Martyn Ware's pigdom also makes me sad.

Good riddance, should have kept their celebrity influence quiet until his appeal was resolved. It was to big an opportunity to get their names front and centre at the expense of due process.

Last I will say on the matter, he was and is innocent of the charges so case closed
An absolute travesty from start to finish - especially when dem pigs took advantage + den Simmo put his pen into orbit

Has to be Sean Bean. He even kept his accent as Sharpe, over more than a 100 years back in time.
Plenty of shagging and fighting. What’s not to like? :)

I wonder if any of these celebs actually go to any games ?
I've seen Paul Heaton home and away in recent years. The bloke off The Bill seems to travel everywhere as well.

Heaton, Bean and Palin are my favourite celebrity Blades in terms of their work.

For some reason the Pigs generally seem to have cornered the market in Sheffield musicians. Heaven 17, Richard Hawley, Arctic Monkeys and some of Pulp are all pigs (although Jarvis Cocker himself admits to only a passing interest that started in the 90s....which probably makes him the archetypal pig fan). They also have the Reverend as well but fuck knows how people are still paying to see him, awful.

Michael Palin - He's ace in the new Worzel Gummage. But having a Python on your fan base is like having a Beatle. He's such an intersting guy and always has something great to say.

Charlie Webster, Jess Ennis, Bobby Knutt, that lad from the Black and White Minstrels.

Attrell Cordes (RIP) of PM Dawn (Set Adrift On Memory Bliss)….allegedly - quote Simon Mayo.
That bloke with the slightly long hair & posh accent on Antiques Roadshow.

Gonna put a bit of Hollywood Glamour in here and say Joan Collins.
Yes her Dad - Joe, was asst manger of the Empire theatre way back and developed a love of the Blades .
He passed this on to Joan. Fairly tenous link I know but hey beat that.!

Matt followed Sheff United Way on Twitter recently which was a massive surprise, he's apparently a fan of my little YouTube channel and I've asked if he'd like to come on one day so when that day comes I'll be keen for any golf fans to suggest some questions. He's a great bloke and I'm a huge fan!
Keep us updated , I'd love to come with something

Tony Mercer from the Black and White Minstrel Show

He wrote the foreword in the "50 seasons in the first division" booklet in 1968.

Then in December 1968 (programme v Huddersfield) he admitted that his dad wasnt David who played in the 1925 FA Cup final despite saying so in the foreword. Strange!

I've got a book by Jarvis Cocker which features a photo of him "proudly showing off" the Sheffield Wednesday shirt he'd just been given for his 6th birthday (1969). There's no other mention of interest in them at all though after that. He does also say that the first song he learnt on the guitar was Annie's Song :)

Funny how one of his biggest songs was Disco 2000.

The year they last played in the Premier League.

Funnily enough, I finished reading that book last week.

Great read, but yeah he’s certainly not a football man. Read an interview a few years ago where he said he’d took a very passing interest in football as a result of reconnecting with his estranged dad.

Jarvis doesn't appear to be a football fan, but Pulp's drummer, Nick Banks, is a Wednesday fan. His uncle was Gordon Banks.

It's got to be Michael Palin for me. The bloke is a certified national treasure in my book and when he eventually slips off this mortal coil it will be a very sad day.

Every time I watch The Holy Grail and (in particular) The Life of Brian I am thankful that one of our own gave something so wonderful and timeless to the world.

His early travel programs were also charming and heart warming, from a time when the British man travelling abroad was still (just about) viewed with an air of respect and panache.
