I was only a young kid,but i loved Billy Hodgson,only 5' and a bit,but he was a brilliant inside left !!!

A pleasure to watch him control a game without hardly seeming to move
Did he only play 12 games for us, 0r have I got that wrong?
Yes, only 12 games. Last game was the 2-2 draw at Ipswich in November 1997

It was a very hard choice between Holdsworth and Jags at CB...but Holdsworth wins just because his equaliser against Coventry in 1997 led to the one and only time I have stood on the hallowed turf of Bramall Lane. Paddy is on the bench ahead of Tracey because he was in goal for most of my favourite memories/matches.

Beat me to it.

I'd always have Powell over Flynn even though Flynn was in pole position when we actually achieved promotion. I think I'm right in saying that Powell played more games than Flynn during the promotion season and there's no doubt he was the better player and would have been a fixture in our side (and in the Wales side) for many years had it not been for injury.

No disrespect to John Flynn - a good player and a good servant.

And for a moment I thought you were talking about Ryan Flynn
