Sorry everyone who likes Kevin Blackwell and thinks he is doing a good job, but today we was terrible, absolutely diabolical in the first half, and a slight improvement in the second half.
Where do i start, well team selection would be the first one.
No James Harper, Monty at right back, Jamie Ward on the bench whilst out of form Ched Evans played up front, and we was also subjected to 90 minutes of complete shitness (one 25 yard piledriver excepted) from that big steaming pile of human ineptitudeness called Jordan Stewart.
Mark Bunn clearly picks up an injury early on, and is quite clearly injured for the majority of the match, so what does the Great Leader Decree. Leave him on the pitch and sub him with 25 minutes to go. It wouldn't have suprised me if leaving him on the pitch would have cost us a goal, and he didn't exactly move quickly when Robbie Savage scored.
Nick Montgomery at right back, for all his efforts and endeavour Monty is not a right back, he hasn't got the control and can't pass well enough to play full back. A centre-half pairing with a total of 3 games for the Blades between them, not Blackwells fault paticularly but someone has to be held accountable at the Lane. Then this is all topped off by Jordan Stewart occuping the left back slot and getting continously pulled out of position and being generally shitness personified.
Why on gods earth is Jamie Ward not starting for the Blades, why, why and fucking why? He is the most creative, most exciting player we have, and a player capable of doing something completely different and being able to change a match. Jesus Wept.
There are big, big underlying problems at the Lane. The manager specialises in boring, negative turdball and consistantly fails to select his best player. The board often talk big about bringing in players of quality when its season ticket renewal time, but the big talk is just that and in reality it is just piss, shit and wind. What will be telling is the lack of renewals during the close season. Plenty are fucked off with getting let down time and time again in the past, and its happening all over again and its very much same owd, same owd (c) Beighton.
Still we have got a big shiny hotel to look at, and nice Chengdu Blades shirts to buy from the club shop as we own them (but not Ferencvaros who are McCabe's baby and his only due to massive potential for ground development there).
At the moment we are fucking absolute shitting garbage, and i can't sum it up any better than that.
