Same as scenario 1 you have to decide, as the manager, who to keep, who to sell, who to loan out and post your rationale or pros and cons for each player to back up your decision, and most importantly why.

Day One - Left Backs

Enda Stevens (31) - Contract ends Jun 23

Max Lowe (25) - Contract ends Jun 24

Rhys Norrington-Davies (23) - Contract ends Jun 24

(I won't include all academy players)

Enda Stevens (31) - Move on if we can

Max Lowe (25) - Cash in, rinse Forest for as much as we can

Rhys Norrington-Davies (23) - Retain

This is one of the positions where there isn't a clear and obvious "first name on the team sheet" - none of them have shone recently and I'd like to see us in the market for a Bogle equivalent on the left.

Agree. Enda will probs be on big money and I don't think he's saleable so keep and hope his form returns. If Forrest want Lowe then let him go, not sure he fits the LWB role anyway. RND currently gets the shirt. Osborn as cover puts this position low down on my list of priorities.

Can't see there being any market for Enda so just run out the contract. If Forest want Lowe let them have him. RND fine as it is.

I don't think we'll be able to move Enda on to be honest. (Relatively) high wages and no incentive to move given he'll be on a free in summer.

I'm far from convinced, but I guess we start RND. Still young and worth persevering with at this stage.

Enda and Osborn as back-up

Sell Lowe to Forest, if they want him. No point having 4 players who are perfectly adequate at LWB.

Enda Stevens - his time is up unfortunately. Too many performances have been distinctly average and we need to do better.

Max Lowe - keep. He flourished in a good Forest team, I don't understand why so many are keen to get rid? Selling won't generate enough funds to make it worthwhile. I think he deserves the opportunity to battle for the LWB spot

RND - had his best game against Forest so also deserves the chance to battle it out with Lowe

We have Robinson, Lowe, RND and Osborn on the left, all covering LWB and LB. I don't see any point in looking for upgrades here, so I'd stick with these 4.

Same on the right.

Bogle - keep

Baldock - sell for as high as possible

Seriki - understudy to Bogle

I don`t think its quite the same on the right - Bogle is clearly the first name on the team sheet if everyone is fit - but we'll leave this debate for the RWB thread!

Wouldn’t mind going in for Lee Buchanan at Derby to play lwb think his contract may be up in June.

Enda Stevens - he's been distinctly below average for two and a half seasons now since the restart. He has had good games few and far between and I can't see him refinding his form. We could try to sell but he'd have to take a pay cut to join someone else. That said could a mutual termination of contract be negotiated in the interest of everyone?

Max Lowe - Forest fans were raving about him until he got injured and he was good at Derby before joining us. He just wasn't ready for the step up to the Premier League, in particular in a poor relegated threatened team with an in and out of form inexperiemced Ethan Ampadu alongside him. I'd keep him and let him duke it out with RND. The question is does he want to stay. I've certainly not heard anything to suggest otherwise. Him praising Forest and saying he likes it there is no different than MGW doing this for us. It doesn't mean MGW no longer likes Wolves.

Rhys Norrington-Davies- very much reminds me of Gary Naysmith when we first signed him. Fans had gotten used to us having attacking fullbacks like Jon Harley, Chris Armstrong or David Unsworth, so having an out and out defensive fullback seemed out of place and fans never really warmed to him. He's solid but unspectacular and grew as the season went on. It's a no brainer to retain him. Depending on pre-season and whether Lowe wants to stay, he'd be first choice to start there next season for me.

We need to raise funds and apparently Forest are interested in Lowe, it is subsequently a no brainier that he should be sold.

Simple one for me, sell Lowe and keep Enda and RND

Stevens - year left so he stays so make use of him as LCB

Lowe - sell

RND - keep

Buy another up and coming LWB to compete with RND, with Stevens dropping to 3rd choice

RND showed in the Forest match that he has all the attributes to become a highly competent wing back , a role which is arguably the most difficult one on the pitch .

I have little doubt that he will only get better and become a more than adequate replacement for Enda .

The wing backs play such a vital role in our build up play and attack - we need better than RND, Lowe and Enda imo.
Lowe>RND>Enda.

Enda can go, he seems to have lost any sort of consistency. If anyone wants him on loan for the season next season or if anyone will take him for a small fee, then I'm happy for him to leave and goes with our best wishes.

Max Lowe can go too. Looked a fish out of water for us against Premier League teams, that performance away at Chelsea sticks out like a sore thumb alongside a few others. Forest can take him with pleasure.

RND - stay. Has done well for us. Doesn't offer a huge amount of goal threat unlike Bogle on the other side but defends well which is primarily what he's paid to do. Likely to be cheaper than the other two.

Osborn can fill in at LWB too, that's probably his position anyway so he can fight it out with RND for that spot. JLT could also play there at a push.

Sell Lowe, thats easy.
I would keep the other two but still look to bring someone in, in that position who improves us. If we can't get that then stick with those two. If we do get one, then look to may be loan or sell Enda in Jan.
