Had to mention this before it gets lost in the doom and gloom here. By the way not sure tribute is the right word, but I'm sure some of you can help tell me what it was
I made it into the ground unusually early on sat, was running late so had to drive and decided to skip the pre match pint, so was in the ground at about 1440.
On the big screen as I walked in was a video tribute to/ by the Yorkshire regiment (3rd battalion I think). I didn't catch it all, but was pretty moving. The hairs on the back of the neck were up.
There were families of soldiers as well as many members of the Yorkshire Regiment.
It made me proud to be a Blade and i have to say hats off to United and the Yorkshire regiment. At Christmas it's very easy to forget that not only servicemen and women, but other friends and family can't make it home. This brought it home again to me.
Well done United
