Middlesbrough has never been Yorkshire.

Middlesbrough became a county borough within the North Riding of Yorkshire in 1889. In 1968, the borough was merged with a number of others to form the County Borough of Teesside, which was absorbed in 1974 by the county of Cleveland. In 1996, Cleveland was abolished, and Middlesbrough Borough Council became a unitary authority within North Yorkshire.

When Yorkshire CCC were very strict in allowing only Yorkshire born players to play for them we did have players who were born in Middlesbrough (Chris Old) and Redcar (Paul Jarvis)

Don't think it's happened since I started going regularly in 1970. Probably early sixties? Can someone confirm. For clarity I count Middlesbrough as Yorkshire.

It'll cost a fortune to have 'Leeds United 2019 Championship Play off Winners' laser removed, but at least he'd still have the 'first day in art class at big school' (and out-of-date - last used in 1976) logo. But then he had to really fuck up with 'In Bielsa We Trust'. (Why do clubs with piss-poor managers think if they copy 'In Arsene We Trust' it'll make them a successful club?) Bielsa will be gone soon and that cheap tat will be out of date. I'm thinking 'In Carlos/Jos/Steve' we trust.

No tattoos for me, but I did buy a 17/18 kit with Brooks on the back towards the end of May (didn't particularly want to but it was the only one I could get in my size) and he left in summer.
