Beyond the obvious joy of beating that bunch of overpaid numpties comprehensively on their own soil and of course re-claiming bragging rights for a few months, yesterday really did [for me] finally serve them back for 2012 and all of the crap that they have thrown at us since.

Last season's promotion was an amazing experience which really did exorcise an awful lot of demons from the past few years but the injustice of 2012 still lingered for me, as much as I didn't want to admit it. Especially the way in which they twisted the narrative from the devastating effects on a team following a rape conviction into one of bottle jobs, refusing to acknowledge that lady luck had given them a huge and unexpected leg up at the worst possible time for us.

Well after their two play off 'attempts' and yesterday's 'performance' I can honestly say that they have wrestled the bottlers tag right from us, and they are welcome to it. They clearly cannot handle the big occasion and have already hit their high watermark, whilst we will continue to thrive and get stronger.

So there you go, 2012, you can well and truly do one now, I am over it and this city is ours again.....for the time being.

Finally, get thi' sens onto Footy Heaven toneet lads & lasses and rub their filthy noses in it, they would do to us mercilessly.

Same goes for me. I think if they sack Carlos it could disrupt the club completely and the whole situation for them will get really bad, which i would be thrilled to bits if them nobheads start dropping down the league.

Agree, it’s a historical win that will be talked about for many years
And the great thing is......they know it.

In that court room in April 2012 they were handed a piece of luck that no other football club could possibly thought possible.

We were in turmoil and the opportunity presented to them couldn't have been better.

They have had five seasons to establish themselves and create an almost unbridgeable gap between us.

They've messed up big style.

Yesterday gave me a lot of closure and healed a lot of painful wounds from the past.

For the first time in living memory the Sheffield Derby saw the away side go across the city and absolute annihilate the opposition.

They got schooled, they got embarrassed, they know it, and we know it.

The significance of this result remains to be seen but I remember a west Brom fab talking about how they pipped wolves to promotion by beating them in their local derby and how it changed the entire mentality of both clubs and wolves never really recovered and west Brom went in to become an established premier league club

Think they have had the Indian sign over us since Warnock went but now that could be about to change

A thousand likes for that Sir

Not quite exorcised yet. We'll have managed that when we get to the PL before them. Again.

Not this season, we aren't THAT good, but perhaps soon. And they will look at their 5 years of "superiority" and wonder what they did with it as we hoover up yet another generation of fans...
