Compared to the Burnley and Wolves fans from our last two PO Finals, Hudders' fans were excellent with SUFC, there was a definite mutual respect in place. I think the fact that they lost last season meant that they still understood how it felt - unlike our Truffle hunting neighbours. When the get to and lose a PO Final, they will be getting it both barrels! Maybe the similarities in our two clubs is a factor? United and Hudders' are both clubs with a tremendous history from the early 20th century who have won very little since. Both are sneered at and 'looked down' on by their so-called more illustrious and massive neighbours. Both have suffered some dreadful luck over the years as well as financial predicaments that they had to fight out of rather than take the easy way out (Mr Mandaric and Mr Bates?)

Had a soft spot for Hudders' since my time at uni there and the PO defeat does not change that.

Just my luck today, driving past Parkgate and realised I was following a car with a Huddersfield mini kit in. Typical bad luck, I thought. Then I realised that the Hudders' kit was their latest one. On the other side of the back window was a Wednesday mini-kit from about five seasons back. Some stupid Pig has gone out and bought a Huddersfield mini-kit just in case they beat us. I wonder what he does with his Stevenage one the stupid plank. On the off-chance he reads this, there is banter and there is being a complete prick. I'll leave you to decide what you are.
