just to say that before anyone comments on Ched Evans, I strongly suggest they read up on the case. A lot of Blades (including me) reached the conclusion that there was no evidence against Evans when we read the reporting of his first trial.
The reportage of that trial was incomplete which doesn't help matters (i.e. there was no full transcript available on-line) and you may find it odd that I suggest there wasn't any eveidence against him but that's the conclusion I reached. I am biased as are all Sheffield United supporters who comment on the case but being Blades meant that we were interested enough to bone up on the 'facts' of the case which few others seem to have done. We didn't do it out of 'hero worship' or loyalty, we aren't a group of awe-inspired Arsenal or Man. Utd. fans, its not like that in the lower leagues is it? (Yeovil fans will know).

The case agains the woman was brought by the Police and the CPS, it is they who have made the poor woman's life a misery, if indeed it is (I hope it is not). The victim (for that is what she is, rape or no rape) made NO charge against the men who were charged, the Police and CPS invented that.

I awake to find my adopted county the object of ridicule.....all I can say is that if you think Yeovil is a backward dump full of mad sheep shaggers, you clearly haven't been to Shepton Mallet.

For the geographically aware, carrot crunching country starts south of the Mendips....everyone to the north is relatively normal.

Spot on mate. I've lived in the "cathedral city" for the last 20 years and I work in Yeovile. I concur with a lot of posts here but in the interest of balanced debate I will list the areas redeeming features in my next post...

Just a line to say that I live a couple of miles outside of Yeovil and none of their fans I have spoken to know anything about the news report - maybe just shit reporting again from the media, besides, it normally takes two weeks for any news to cross the Somerset border!!
