Would you still be happy with 17th?

OK, we're almost halfway through the season. We've annihilated all expectations and continue to make the pre-season predctions look silly. So...would you still be happy if, come the end of May 2020, we are 17th in the league?
No because it would mean watching us losing games we ‘should’ be winning. We’d have to lose quite a lot of games to fall to 17th and it would be painful watching it.

I’d accept it if there were good reasons, like a horrendous injury list but I’d be disappointed.

Yes but under CWAK just can't see that happening
This team and management are winners and just keep pushing on and on and will hopefully continue to do so and who knows what we can achieve

We're in dreamland fellow blades , let's all enjoy every minute !

I wouldn't be unhappy, I guess, but I think we've proven so far this season we're capable of competing with anyone, so being happy with 17th feels a bit defeatist? Especially when we're currently among the "Europe-chasing" pack...

Currently at 8/1 on Skybet for a top 6 finish, 33/1 for relegation - if someone offered me 17th now, I'd take the risk and turn them down, because there's a chance we could achieve something really special this season

Yeah but we won't finish that low and if we did it would mean our form has gone off a cliff and we've had to dig deep to stay up

Only way i wouldnt be happy would be if we went down which considering at the start of the season I would have took that if we had a stronger squad (and wilder ) than when we went up

After the next couple of games we could go a while without seeing a point even without doing much wrong. It can still turn on us and we set our pre-season targets that way for a reason.

Get to 40 points asap and then I'll allow myself to get giddy. Till then I'm just going to keep repeating what an absolute pleasure it is to watch us.

I wouldn't have taken it before a ball was kicked this season, because I knew we would do very well. So like f**k would I be happy with it now.

definitely not... that would be relegation form going into next season, we should be aiming for 15th and above imo from here in, barring major injury crises

No, expectation, based on performance, has move on. My take on Sheffield United FC at the present time is that the people running and working for the club are working to improve the club both off and on the field of play. Whilst I don't expect a top six finish, give or take what may crop up, mid table would be satisfactory. To be relegated or seventeenth would mean events within the club had taken a dramatic down turn, a catastrophe, loss of CWAK.
To illustrate my take, today had occasion to ring ticket office. Came off phone almost glowing after speaking to the young operative, polite, efficient with a sense of humour, makes life trot on with a smile.

Asking this now, then no. Top half finish would be awesome.

I’d be happy in the same way that I was ‘happy’ with a draw against Man Utd the other week.

Absolutely fucking not.

if we finish 17th we’d have performed well below our ability during the second half of the season. We’ve shown that we’re a lot better than 17th

Yes I would, but it would be an anti-climax and our current momentum would have come to a grinding, spectacular halt.

The build is on for next season and hopefully it will be onwards and upwards.

We can go beat beat Man City. We can get something at Liverpool after watching Watford unlucky yesterday.

What's not to fucking fear 🤷‍♂️

Given where we are no this is spot on. Take it but it would have meant a very rough ride 2nd half of season.

I honestly run out of ways to praise these lads! What a team we have. Call me greedy but I want us to get 6/7 points from our next 4 games. That would leave us pretty much safe by January and for me it gives us a chance to have a go in FA Cup. It’s not every year we are going to be up there with England’s elite and we should take that chance to compete for a cup while we can
