Worst away ground for results whilst supporting blades

Middlesboro is a miserable trip, to a miserable town, to watch a miserable match, on a miserable night usually, and United always contribute massively to the miserable-ness of it all
Seen us lose 6-0 and 3-0 at Boro, and 5-0 and 4-0 at Leeds. And 5-0 at West Ham. Jesus, this is painful to type, but strangely cathartic in a self flagellating kind of way.

Reading for me, seen us lose 0-1 at Elm Park, opening match of the 1996/97 season, then Madjeski we drew 0-0 and lost 1-2 in our promotion season 2005/06.

Norwich and Ipswich always were hoodoo grounds for me, never saw us get anything at either in multiple trips to East Anglia, yet when I took the lad to both in January for his first visit to both he saw us win at both,

I also remember the joys of repeatedly going to Ipswich to watch us lose. The highlight came when we were 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go, and Ipswich were down to 10 men - and we still managed to lose 3-2. At that point I concluded that it was actually physically impossible for a United side to win at Portman Road.

Next time I went, we won.

I hope SB I have the pleasure of seeing just one of those in my lifetime at Old Trafford ...For me seeing us beat them at The Lane in the league & FA Cup in 92/93 are my high points , same goes for White Hart Lane only seen nil returns there
I was at WHL when we won with a Gage goal in November 1991

I've been away to Preston 5 times, with two distinct themes:

1) we were absolute shite every game

2) it was always fucking freezing

Still one of my favourite places to go though :confused:o_O

Pretty much the same record B.B. with one exception the 3-3 draw last game of season in 2004 it was a 12 KO ( I think ) ending up ,missed first 20 mins of game due to unforeseen circumstances.. had a right laugh Sat in Blackpool with 50 of our lot .. some stories that 24 hours !

Forest I have an appalling record. Been maybe 7 or 8 times and seen one draw at best. Managed to miss all the wins!

Preston is worse. Think I have been there at least 5 times and seen us lose every single time. Not even seen a goal I don't think. Went on a run of 2 or 3-0 wins for about 3 years running.

Palace away for me when we had to put Mervyn day in goal for the day! Pissed it down with rain on that open terrace and played shite.
Also Wembley against the very same team when we lost to that goal in the last minute.

Has to be Wemberlee.

Four defeats including one to our hated local rivals and one dragged out to extra time and penalties just to twist the knife that bit further .

Chuck in traffic congestion caused by 70k people all wanting to get back oop North, shit pies at a fiver and loads of part time knobhead Blades and you have the recipe for a perfect day .

Ewood Park for me. First visit we lost 6-1, second visit 4-1, third a goalless draw and the last 5-0. I do like Thwaites beer though.

Were we playing Wimbledon at Palace that day ? I was there but have tried to forget it ....

Surely Stamford Bridge is 'the worst away ground for results whilst supporting the Blades'? May 7th, 1994 and winning 2-1 on 76 minutes, United looked safe from relegation. We managed to lose 2-3 and then the results from Ipswich, West Ham and Everton came in...

Ipswich had drawn 0-0 at Blackburn and Everton - after being 0-2 down - beat Wimbledon at home 3-2 with a 90th minute winner under highly suspicious circumstances. Naturally, West Ham were involved - drawing 3-3 at home to Southampton with the equaliser for West Ham coming from a 90th-minute own goal. So the Blades lost their Premier League place on the last day of the season. At least it couldn't happen again, could it?

How has nobody mentioned Highbury yet?

There won't be many people left alive who have have seen us win there.

I have been twice - and we avoided defeat both times. 1-1 draw in the league in January 1993 thanks to a last minute Littlejohn equaliser in front of the Mural, and 1-1 in the cup in 1996.

We played 10 other games at Highbury in my lifetime - the first when I was one day old - and lost 9 and drew the other, the Cup tie in 2005 when Andy Gray scored from the spot late on.

The place I have seen United most without seeing them win is Ipswich, though I was there when we won on away goals in the playoffs.

Also a special mention to the City of Birmingham - the 2-2 draw on 23 December last year was the first time I had seen United score or take a point on any ground in Brum.

Sunderland Old Roker Park got hammered on the field and off it fucking evil place back in the day
Lost 5-0 Cec Coldwell caretaker manager one of them

5-1, Bobby Campbell got our goal after Woody beat several players in an offside trap and having his shot blocked by the keeper.
