We have now gone 6 hours without any of our players scoring.
The 2 nil win at Oldham was the last time any of our players scored.
And when we won at Tranmere through an own goal the shot/cross/hopefull punt into the box came via a full back.

At this stage in the season I find this worrying.

Lets hope this is rectified at Walsall.

We've scored 4 goals in 7 games, if that continues to the end of the season we will struggle to make the playoffs.

We need to instigate a shoot on sight policy now !

We've never drawn 3 home games in a row 0 - 0 and only once in our history have we had 3 consecutive 0 - 0 league draws. It all worked out in the end that season ;)

03 Apr 1971 Sheffield United v Norwich City D 0-0 League Division Two
10 Apr 1971 Leicester City v Sheffield United D 0-0 League Division Two
12 Apr 1971 Sheffield Wednesday v Sheffield United D 0-0 League Division Two

We had a slightly better side in those days though ...................................

Come on guys, what are you worried about? Danny sees the boys in training every day and he knows what he is doing and he knows better than anyone.

in the absence of 1 decent striker, we need to play porter and lump the ball into the box for the big old carthorse to get his nut on the end. but not as sub, he needs to start so we can take the the useless git off and switch to our favoured 10-0-0 formation as soon as we go 1-0 up.

Remember it well and radio 2 commentating on the fact!

Hey!! Selling our top scorer is ok!! Weve replaced him with a true Blade!

You're forgetting that our defence is the bee's knees.

Based purely on numbers we have the joint 2nd best defence in the football league.

at least with Porter he would actually stay up front (cos he aint fit enough to run) instead of poncing about in midfield like out current centre forward.

I wouldn't mind seeing Porter(or Creswell if he can be recalled) up front with Murphy next Tuesday with MacFdzean and Flynn wide. Surely cant do worse than what we are seeing at the Lane currently.

When Porter was teamed with Miller we saw how useful he could be as foil to a quick man. If Kitson is crocked then there is a chance we could develop a pattern to our attacking play again. Midfielders want predictable runners to pick out and we saw how good Ironside looked compared to the others by doing just that.

Course, there's little wrong with our away form anyway.

My heating is coming on erratically. I've started worrying about my stat!

12 April 1971 - Easter Monday it was, my first away Steel City derby at the Sty.

He would have only scored one goal more as we have only had one penalty (which we scored anyway)
