Given the lack of backing this transfer window. I’m interested to hear everyones thoughts on how we work with the players we have available.

From listening to interviews in the past few days with wilder, he’s mentioned a couple of options. This is obviously not ideal but could we see players been moved further forward to plug gaps?

I’m thinking burrows as a LM, arblaster at 10 and seriki as a RM. The latter two were mentioned by Wilder…

Or do we now change to 353 or 343?

I think the only benefit to this shambolic fire sale is that we might get to see One flourish this season

353 would be the best option if we can get away with it

Otherwise its could be a lo g haul until January

Out of the current squad I would set up as follows

BBD - Bamford - Donnovan
Jairo - Peck - Philips
McCallum - Kitching - Tanganga - Seriki
Cooper

that’s assuming everyone is fit. Interchange Burrows with McCallum and Arblaster with Peck if either of them manage to regain form.

433, don’t get over run through midfield and try to get the ball forwards quickly / on the diagonal to the two lads out wide.

I’d like to see One get a good crack at it at some point too. He played cutting in from wide positions for Lincoln so try him down the left

As many have said, we are desperately short of attacking flair. However, we have a much deeper overall squad than in 24/25, during which our bench was often populated by kids and sometimes two keepers.

Last night, we had Seriki, Burrows, One, Kitching and Chong unavailable to add to a reasonable bench.

Whilst there will be times when we are outclassed by the big spenders, we might come into our own during those congested spells of a Championship season, where clubs are required to play 3 games in 6 or 7 days.
