Woodburn...

The number of Liverpool fans that keep telling me that he should be able to walk straight into our side can fuck off!!.
I’ve told them that he’s simply not up to our standard at the moment!!. He was in Liverpool’s under 23 squad on Monday night and played the whole game. I think he’s likely to be elsewhere in January?. I M H O

His time away from L'pool is a test of both talent and how he can adjust to some of the realities of being outside the bubble that lauds and praises him.

Klopp, I hope, wil understand this and see it as character building. Wilder has no reason to exclude him unless he's not impressing. The boy, for that is what he is, must have talent, but he must also learn to dig deep and show his critics that he's worthy of the praise he's received.

We need tomorrows manager.

Well, he is out of a job and available...

I want to know how someone in the Welsh set up knows this.

Woodburn would surely not be telling everyone on international duty he’s not getting picked because the manager doesn’t think he’s fit or sharp enough to play high tempo football.

Even sillier when you consider Freeman was a part of that same Welsh set up.

Is he still actually with us?

How can someone who is on loan with us please for Liverpool's U-23s? Surely he'd be in our U-23s?

Very strange situation. He's not really looked like a Duddy replacement when he's played though. More of an attacking player.

We’ve done exactly the same with our loanees in the past haven’t we? It’s usually used as an opportunity for the parent club to still have a direct check on their development, and get them more game time.

He's about as relevant as Regan Slater in terms of first XI performances. Unfortunately we banked on him being a big contributor.

Win some, lose some. Hopefully we get a resolution of him playing regularly or moving on in Jan

Yep it’s common practice

I spoke with one of the Liverpool youth team coaches about Woodburn about a week ago. They are happy with how Utd are working with him but the reports they have had back are that he isn’t training well and his attitude wasn’t great.
My take is that he came over expecting to be pandered to and be the first name on the team sheet and Wilder has not gone along with it.

Ok, but you have totally avoided answering a simple question !!!
I DO care about young pros that have prospects and their development.

Passionately as it turns out.

Why would you not ?

Future of the game. Would it suit you better for all of them to fail, and for the PL to continue to buy in the players from abroad ??

Forgive me, but it smacks of a different depth of understanding.

UTB

Get rid. Liverpool have sent the wrong player I think.

Throw him on to try and save the game. He looked like he wanted to be back on the bench. What’s the point

I still think he'll turn good.

The only real point of the time when we aren't quite a few games to play with the league aren't exactly brilliant is encouraging the team.

the lad get's thrown on in desperation when we are losing for the last ten minutes every time he plays and gets total pelters.. fucking incredible reaction.
But all he has to do in any of the minutes he IS on is to do something that gives us a hint that he's a good player.
Not even score a goal or a defence splitting pass.
Just something!

Exactly!

Beat me to it. We should probably just keep him the full season to be the lightning rod of the quick-to-scapegoat part of our fanbase.
