I don't know whether the SUFC You Tube video has been edited to portray us in a better light or whether that's what went out on the Sky / Football League show but I must admit that i was surprised at the movement / threat that we displayed until they scored. Just wondered whether those that went consider it to be reflective - would be a small crumb of comfort if so.

For those that haven't seen:

Had the same thought when I watched it. Based on the live reports yesterday and previous highlights videos I think it probably was a fair representation of what happened rather than being edited to make us look better.

Unfortunately what the highlights show is one team who can get one single opening and score a goal, and another than looks unable to score if they were given all of Saturday to play. Could say the same about the last 2 games I've seen also (Preston and MK). Spin the Preston game round, imagine their left back did what Hill did - do you think we would have scored the opportunity?

Was disappointed with Long for the first goal - it was a fortunate bounce for them but I thought he bottled the challenge. Cracking 2nd goal though, I wouldn't have minded losing to that!

As you say our finishing has to improve but at least we made some decent chances this week, we've not been able to sat that too often.

Very poor from Long with the first goal, and the second was an excellent strike, was just a shame the defence didn't rush out quicker. One thing that I did notice was there is a lack of follow up to the saves the goalkeeper made from our chances.

That was my initial thought but I'm not going to be too tough on George. I suspect he thought he was about to take one square in the face and flinched instinctively. Can be all it takes to lose sight of the ball in those situations. Could maybe criticise him for not asserting his presence more quickly but keeper's have a tough job. I never fancied playing there.

On the plus side we looked far more dangerous in the final third yesterday which is a tiny encouragement. I couldn't go and only saw brief FLS highlights on Saturday night so thanks for that foxy. I feel slightly (and I mean only a little bit) better having watched that.

I think it just goes to show that Wolves don't belong in this league at all with players such as Doyle, Griffiths, O'Hara and especially Sako.
It's vital we have a convincing performance and victory next Friday, because if it doesn't happen I just can't see Weir succeeding at Bramall Lane. We have the players to be challenging for a play-off spot in this league and it amazes me just how awful Weir has been. A change in management is very much needed

What it doesn't show is just how lucky their opener was. When you see Sako running down the wing, he's been played in by a Wolves defender who swivelled on his own byeline under pressure from an attacker and hoofed it as far as he could without looking. Just our luck that a desperate punt clear turned into a great pass.

Hang on, I thought hoof didn't work....
