I don't want to but would gladly wish the next 6 weeks away, it would save all this stomach churning and worry about what might or could happen. Even getting up for a piss in the middle of the night the first thing that comes to mind is can Fleetwood catch us, will Bolton pip us to the title it's doing my head in , roll on the end of April.
Don't tell me your not the same.:(

Why don't you stop worrying?

Have a piss before bed.

I'm loving this season, and not particularly looking forward to life in the championship.

So no, I don't feel the same. :)

It's been the same for me as long as I can remember, football-wise rather than nocturnal ablutions :-) It's also retrospective, if we've won, I feel much better when I go to sleep and when I wake up. If we lose I get a depressed feeling.

The sad thing is that football is entirely peripheral, it really doesn't matter but it makes no difference how often I tell myself that (usually after a defeat), I'm resigned to the fact that I'm stuck with the ups and downs forever.

Don't wish too hard pal, me wedding day's 6 weeks away and I'm not chuffing ready!

Don't do it Kozzy lad, back out now,she might be ok with you going to matches at the moment, once she's got the ring on,watch her change, and then you will have the Mother in Law sticking her neb in,coming out with' you letting him go to another match "to your intended

I was nervous a few weeks back but you have to enjoy it with the cushion we have. The title race should bring excitement not nerves. The loser of that particular race goes home with the consolation prize we have been after for six years

Why aren't you looking forward to life in the Championship?

Got to win the title, just been reading comments on Bolton forum. So full of themselves, slagging united off. Just don't want them to beat us to it

Why aren't you looking forward to life in the Championship?
Because I'm loving life in the third division. Seriously. :)

Higher division football isn't a prize I crave. I despise the plastification* of modern football, and it is much more prevalent the higher up you go.

You gonna give up going then?
PS:I like your made up word.

Lots of pressure, but I'm looking forward to every game. If I wish away any time it's only the space between games.

My wife asked me the other day, why I had become so much more bothered about the Blades in the last few years. My answer was based around what you said alcoblade. I have been in and around football since the age of 14 and to be honest, was starting to find it a bit, how can I say this, repetitive and false. Watching good/very good players, now retired, being treated with contempt by jumped up, over paid Prima Donas who will be never as good as said players. That was here in the second, third divisions, so heaven knows what it's like in Blighty. I am out of football now and watch, mostly Bezirks liga games. I have never been happier. I am starting to like the game again. My main reason for wanting the Blades to do well is because I feel for all the fans who turn up,week in week out. When we lose, it's how much I know, the fans are hurting, that makes me feel depressed. Oh yes, and I want United to be the best team in Sheffield rather than the other lot. Playing in League One was more real. I appreciate it was mostly shit for 99% for fans. The fans deserve a promotion and I want it for them, more than anything else.

Ditto. Not at the cost of moving away from BDTBL, or at prices which exclude regular fans. But I think it's possible to have the best of both worlds.
Remind me of that when we're being asked for £50 to visit The Sty next season.

I sort of see where you are coming from. I would love to be at the Bernabeu, watching the Blades lifting the Champions League trophy. But a part of me would be nostalgically remembering queuing to buy fish and chips at the chippy near Rochdale's ground looking forward to the game. :)

Sadly, only one of those options has or will ever be on the table.

Fair point. I'm not paying that - it's nonsense.

But we can't help what others do - if watching United at home is affordable then I'll take whatever success comes.

Some philosophers say that life is a balance of opposites, so relax and enjoy the tension, and savour the explosion of joy when we go up as champions .
