Winning mentality

Like many people on here, being supporting the Blades for a long time. My first match was more than 50 years ago. This is the the most important trophy won in that time. For a club like ours that isn't good enough. There is a winning mentality about this team that hasn't been apparent for years. A real opportunity to build and go on to greater things. Can't wait until next season.

Absolutely buzzing on our way back up the M1, and whilst I tend to have a healthy dose of reality, I'm really optimistic about our future. I'm certainly not going to predict back to back promotions because that's a huge unlikely task.

However it's about time we punched our weight. We're undoubtedly the most underachieving club of our stature over the last 50 years plus.

What has been truly marvellous is how in recent weeks we have dominated sides who on paper might have been expected to cause us problems,

Bolton, Millwall, Bradford all been in decent form before we played them and were expected to be tight nervy games for us.. we really have brushed them aside with ease.

Whatever happens next season these are heady days.

Another 50 years + supporter. (!959) - best season I can remember. The dominance over so many teams in so many games has been frightening at times. But above all the quality of the football played and those three goals at Bradford epitomise it all. Centre half in the penalty area, Fleck and chip for the second and the three pass and a goal third. Then two cracking goals from Billy today - he enjoys an elite group who have scored 200 + goals nationwide over the past 50 years.
