So what you can draw from that is that the manager's with the biggest win % are no longer managers... erm

Let's get Newell in, could do with some sexist remarks

think we should go for billy davies my self cant see derby beating wba failing that paul simpson from preston.I did want coleman but looks like that ones gone

Billy's not going to leave Derby, certainly not for us, even if they don't go up. Simmo will build a team around one player, and that's not what we need, I don't think. Mind you, anyone's preferable to Bryan bloody Robson.

after seeing these stats i change my view that if dalglish isnt available, and i really doubt it, then reid would be the better man.

Thought robson was better than that.

So even if he does look like an escapee from planet of the apes, he gets my vote

/devil's advocate status on

Stats don't tell the whole story though... if Reid, Souness and Newell are so good... why are they out of work?

/devil's advocate status off

Stats don't tell a lot, they could have been managing a team who was pushing for promotion. Others could be trying to avoid relegation.

But out of them, I'd go for Newell/Dalglish

why wouldnt he leave derby? we are a better team than them surely.

Derby are in great shape, they've got a lot of good players and a board willing to pay money to attract new talent. They're in a very similar situation to us at the moment; I can't see why he'd leave them to come to a club of approximately equal size and footing. If he goes anywhere, it'll be a top flight team like Man City.

Whats really disappointing from that list is, for me anyway, I dont really think any of them, with the excetion of maybe Dalglish are what we are looking for. That said I still dont have a clue as to who I would like to see installed. I gather a certain Anthony Blair might be available, maybe we should have a go for him.

We should try and lure Burley from southampton.

Yes but if we give him a years worth of chip butty's and his own parking space im sure that would be enough to get him in. :)

davis would be better but i doubt he'd come. burley would be good too, but again id doubt he'd come.

Wouldnt be hard to lure Burley we can just offer him a years supply of special brew. :)
