Blimey. And these people are in charge of our club. Morgan's only known qualities were:

1. He was a "tough" hard working player of a reasonable second tier standard
2. He had a mediocre record as a reserve team coach
3. He had no previous managerial experience
4. He is apparently able to shout a lot and look committed

And they thought he was the "perfect" man to get us up?

And it seems that they're about to do exactly the same thing again (Weir, Page, Morgan?).
No track record, no experience, just pick a player who is a "leader" and hope it comes good.

sometimes you have to take a punt ,theres been the occasional out of the blue appointments that came good
its not been working using "experienced " men, someone keen and alert might just be the way forward

Are you out pedanting me :-)

If so, I said "real" replacement. I wouldn't classify Morgan as that.

And these are the people trusted to pick the next one? Great being a blade isnt it?

Oh yes its possibly the most important appointment in recent times and we should go with gut instinct. I'm assuming you aren't involved in many high level appointments, or you work for pin the tail on the donkey recruitment?

Oddly enough it worked to great effect when we chose managers who already had five promotions under their belt each.

Why take a punt when there are young managers with at least one promotion who would possibly take the job?

Davis, Wilder, Tisdale...
