There's a thread about the Brook v Golovkin fight at the 02 in general chat, but I thought I'd mention here that it's on the same day as we play Wimbledon away, Sept 10. The general sale of tickets for the fight starts on Friday July 15 from www.theO2.co.uk and on 0844 856 0202

Massive, messy and expensive day for anyone brave enough to do both.

Definitely doing Wimbledon. Hope to Christ I can get terrace tickets, because I'll look dead silly kicking off about Bolton's prices when their seats are £29 a pop o_O

Brook will be a stretch too far, unfortunately!

Young Un has already got priority o2 tickets for Brook vs ggg.....all I need to do now is convince him that he should take me and not his girlfriend!!!

My mate is doing that priority O2 thing today or tomorrow and looks like we'll do Wimbledon as well

I doubt the fight will start until after 11pm. Could be a matter of 12 hours solid drinking, with a break for a game of football.

Allocation for Wimbledon is going to be low. What do we all reckon will be needed to get one? I'm on about 31k... Might struggle to get one I think

Im on the wrong side of 50 ;)

Well then you should definitely know better!

Or perhaps it means your old enough to not have to worry about young kids getting you up the next day so you can get away with it. Perhaps when my kids are grown I'll return to 12 hour drinking on Saturdays.

Think you may be right. Fingers crossed we're not quite the draw we think we are and it doesn't sell out their end. Can't imagine it being particularly nawtee in Kingston-upon-Thames so I'd have no qualms standing amongst the locals.

Sarf of the river! No chance mate, the Tooting Popular Front will run you out of town

I'm planning on doing both, might be a problem tho', I only have 10,000 points, fingers crossed.

Can't do it mate. If I drink for 12 hours now, I need to spend a day or 2 in the foetal position. Can't do that with little ones to look after.

I find that it's like running. You hit a mental barrier where you feel can't sup any more, but you just need to keep going. Soon you will enter "the zone" where the beer slips down easily again. The downside is that events that take place in "the zone" are very difficult to recall the next day, including getting home, and it's a common occurence to wake up with kebab meat, curry or chocolate stains in your bed. At least you hope they are chocolate stains.

That sounds like my younger days. Now I find the beer goes down very easily but the consequences the next day are about a thousand times worse than they used to be. Also, it's no longer just the next day, it's the next 2-3 days. Drinking's not the problem, surviving the apocalyptic consequences is.

No one gave Fury a chance against Klitscho, upsets happen. But GGG needs to be off his game.

Proper respect to special k for taking on ggg. He could have played it safe....beat the mandatory challengers in his own weight division - made plenty of cash and retired undefeated but that isn't his style. I think this fight has all the makings of one of those I was there moments......

I really cant call this, iv not seen enough of GGG. Brook deserves respect but his belt isnt on the line, it is a big test and a big pay day. He could make over 7 million if it sells well on ppv which it will ! Should be great fight and will be better than wimbledon away.

Might struggle even with that - average crowd last season 4,300 in a ground holding 5,000. Add in that most visiting sides in League 2 travel by minibus and you don't get much in the way of spare capacity.
