I'd have thought so. New ground etc.

Next up, a complaint about loyalty points :)
I tell you what, this loyalty points system sucks.

I don't go to many games, home or away, but was VERY loyal between 89 and about 93. Where has this loyalty been recognised I ask you?

And I'm loaded and would happily pay way over the odds for a ticket. Where's Capitalism in this system I ask you, huh?

I got a ticket.

Tis an unfair system and cumulatively punitive. Those with 40,000+ get tickets today ergo more loyalty points than those on following days who won't get tickets as there are only 700ish. Therefore the gap widens between the have and have nots of loyalty points.

And as most people know many with large amounts of points don't go to all games but tickets and identities are traded openly, it's not what you know ;)

Agreed it's not perfect but the poor bastards who have put up with the most shit, deserve the chance to put up with more shit if that's what they want.

In any event, I'd be pretty confident that anyone with >40k points who gets a ticket and doesn't go, won't just give it some part timer.

The only other option is some kind of ballot, but they may well mean that friends/couples etc can't all get tickets. It can also be easily abused as there is no clear understanding of who gets what.

I`ve got 2 tickets. Piece of piss.
Just bought Hans and John a bottle of Proseco each and jobs a good `un.

Stop winging stringjunior ya plant pot (just use my points!)..... But do fondly remember a StringBro™ trip to Portsmouth one Tuesday night in possibly '98? ...to arrive at their luxury open top away end, to lose (probably), to get wet in the rain and to have somebody wee down my leg.. Luckily we only had to drive back to London... Not sure that was the same night we had a minor scuffle with the staff of All Bar One Wimbledon after the ketchup incident ... Life was so much more simple in the late 90's

Shouldn't think so as we've only sold 500 for Millwall or perhaps the greatest fans in League 1 don't fancy a trip to South Bermondsey.

Two London trips close together is expensive plus Gillingham It will depend how many people are in each category but I'll be surprised it gets to Day 4 as this is a new ground and many will prefer to go to this one rather than the other two because of that

Is it wrong to hope that United continue playing crap to increase my chances of getting a ticket with 39,000 points?

It was actually a very well disguised "who's the biggest cockwomble on the forum that can take issue with and twist almost anything" thread. Bookies favourite won.

I have to say I was surprised to see the club's Facebook feed saying we had 2000 tickets, and was equally unsurprised to see the link say we only had a third of that and the original post was edited

I think the All Bar One incident of the ketchup in the nighttime involved Rathers. But I can't be sure. I was mostly pissed in the late 90's
