At the time you posted we could have done.....like at Donny. But agree something needs to change

I'm not saying sacking Wilson is the answer but it did work for the grunters last year! Although I'm no great fan someone like Billy Davies would get us promoted without a problem!

I hear ya brownie, but who would you get in??

Just seems like no heart, a huge lack of work rate or any kind of bite. I was very surprised at what happened at Donny. Don't know if you can really blame Danny.... I think its more down to our players being so lathargic expecting to win without working.

Eriksson in. :) (Swedish sauna in South Stand, that'll get the fans in + Darren)

Agreed. The old Wimbledon Crazy Gang used to listen to music to get themselves pumped up for a match, I think Wilson should have the lads listening to this...

I thought it just might be the job of the manager to instill the right attitude. Obviously I was wrong.

Last time i checked managers don't install personality, if you have a team of players without any bite and rarely get stuck in... the manager isn't going to help that.

When we've had disappointing results earlier this season, I've always thought there's been something lacking in the team selection. Today I felt the team looked interesting and well balanced on paper. The lack of pace and width has been addressed and we had an experienced side out.

In a way, it makes the result even worse as we may have to look for other reasons than team selection to explain why it didn't work. Preparation? Tactics? Underestimation?

We are in the position of challenging for the play offs because of DW and the team he is putting together.
On the other hand, a couple of years ago, we had four different managers in one season, and that was the most successful season in recent history. Wasn't it?

Of course not.

But sacking the best manager weve had for years is not the answer.

We're having a bad spell

It's more than a bad spell. If you'd seen it today you would know exactly where I'm coming from.

It's not just a bad spell, it's more than that, and make no excuses, this is Wilsons team and they quite clearly aren't good enough. Huddersfield and Wednesday didn't do too badly after sacking their managers last season did they?

Don't think that sacking Wilson is the answer, unless we could've got O'Driscoll. The playing staff are technically weak, and we don't have any real 'system' of play - when have we ever had one, come to think of it?

It's players we need. Doyle = past it and not really good enough. Blackman = inconsistent. Kitson = ditto. Williams = joke player. Hill = tries, but not really good enough. Long = good shot stopper, but error prone and naive. Flynn = lightweight. McDonald = Good, but can't do it all alone. Maguire = Good, but naive. Collins = Good, but injured.

That isn't going to get United promoted, moreso back at Wembley and us trudging away, pissed off and let down, once again.

Banged on about this for years now. Cash, board, investment, former PL and Champ benchwarmers. We need experience and skill, not another manager.

Yeah let's sack Wilson and bring in a Dave Jones type manager. Living off loanees!

Correct, Wednesday did great in sacking awful Megson and Huddersfield finished how many points behind us and then beat us on pens in the play off final.

Yes it is Wilsons team. I'm glad it is.

Total lack of creativity. Might have got Murphy, but there is fxxx all creativity in the side. Remember we were wining 1-0 at beginning of the season; well, our past has caught up with us now. Unless DW recognises this and does something about it in the next few weeks, another season in the 3rd Div...

I also thought it might just be the manager's responsibility to build a team of the right personalities. Damn it! Wrong again.

Yes because money is no option and you can go out and buy exactly who you want and they will come and play top quality stuff every game! Injuries to key players ofcourse are no matter so hey ho its still the managers fault. Oh and young goalkeepers never make mistakes so it must be the managers fault! Sometimes you just have to accept your club is in a shite position with poor players in a very poor league. Your not going to win every game but as you have an above average shite squad you may hit the playoffs..... Bugger it lets get Danny out now at a vital point in the season after losing 2 games!!! great idea...

Well, Leeds have just lost again.....

really rubbish today. i think were proving what a few of us have thought all season, we were over-achieving being top. we got lucky scraping wins without really deserving them. now the luck is turning the other way.

i dont know what answer is. i thought danny was the man for the job, this is the first time doubts are creeping in. i still think we need to get a good replacement for doyle. the central areas just arent bossing teams. that new contract looks worse every week. we need someone with quality and balls of steel in there to general the team. and blackman is starting to piss me off a bit too after a good start. same with kitson. we desperately need more quality or we wont make the play offs. top 2 has gone already, be lucky to stay within 10 points of donny and brentford and maybe even tranmere, swindon and bournemouth. been hanging on all season, now the rest have started winning were sinking to our true level. depressing stuff.
