Not being sat in an office full of Preston/Huddersfield fans might have something to do with it!

I suppose if you live well away and don't have to put up with the gurning wankers in your face then it could possibly feel like any other game. Round here it certainly doesn't.
I've enjoyed enough gloating when the boots been on the other foot and there is still the promise of beating them to automatic that feels good but today is not a good day in these parts!

Wednesday fans are few and far between here in Birmingham (thankfully).

The silver lining for me is that DW has the ammunition now to tell Monty to pipe down and sit the rest of the season out.
If ever there was evidence that he is holding us back - it was yesterday.
Whether he will or not remains to be seen.

My concern now rest with the timing of McD coming back from this Hammy. Too early and he will be out for 6 weeks.

DW can use this defeat as a positive motivator to extract more concentration, more hunger and more effort from the players during the run in.
I, for one, believe he will use it very effectively

Totally agree re vital that Kmac is not rushed back - we have enough quality to win at home and at least draw away games which should be good enough for top 2. Kmac to come back refreshed in late March should push us over the line.

Like you, I think Danny knows the score with Monty.

Maybe a loan would help. Dirty word I know but as we dont seem to have anyone to fill KMacs boots then it is something to look at.

As I have said in another thread, swap the results against hudds and Wednesday, and we are in a worse position.

I said that in the car on the way back yesterday.
