No there wasn't two good teams out there Mr Wilson - two shite teams but one team wanted it more than the other!
Yes, he admitted we missed McDonald yet said , we had a very experienced player taking his place - unfortunately Mr Wilson he's rubbish!
'One set of supporters will be disappointed' he said, disappointed doesn't describe it!
We are happy where we are! he said

What he didn't say was 'Yes we bottled it!-Were not good enough Played off the park by a shite side Didn't react

Mr Wilson - You screwed up big style- wrong side - wrong tactics - changes too late - prove us all wrong - I was against your appointment because I thought you were a shite manager - prove me wrong and thousands like me!

Mr Wilson, today may be just another defeat for you - today's after match comments proved that you are not a blade -it should have hurt you today - Megson out thought you!

You see that's the problem with what you think. You have more faith in someone writing a report than our team manager. I don't tend to read deadbats report because I don't often agree with his assessment of players. I would rather make my own mind up game by game than put faith constantly in an amateur journalists report.
Wilsons post match interview was great yesterday. I don't always agree with alcoblade but i do on this one.

It was 1 effing game all we lost were 3 points which we have done at more than one away game this season.

For me the big mistake wasn't bringing in Monty (we may not really have had an alternative) it was making him captain as soon as he is picked. Doyle has been a great skipper and should not have been insulted in this way.
Monty is not up to the task and maybe I would put Quinn in the middle and bring in Flynn. Also bring in Beattie or Hoskins for Cressy on Wed

I'm with you there boo, I saw nothing in wilsons post match interview to anger me. What was he to do? He's right to play it down because like it or not were straight back to business on weds and we've just entered a 5 week stretch with a further 27 points to play for until the end of march.

Sure players had bad games - Quinn, monty. Sure the younger lads were like rabbits in the head lights - Lowton and Harry. Sure some players looked tired - cress well and willo. And the subs should've been made right after the goal to make an impact.

We're all pissed off, but highlighting the failings of the manager based on a post match interview is a bit ridiculous especially when the op hasnt commented along these lines all season. I saw nothing new in wilsons post match interview and he just played it down.

I dont subscribe to this theory that Wilson "got it wrong" - did he?.....

United were by far the better side first half but were short on luck and suffered hideous refereeing decisions. We could have easily been a goal or two up at half time.

Despite that, we allowed ourselves to be pulled into a hoof competition second half and that ultimately cost us imo. We simply lost our impetus and the piggies grew into the game. Just one of those things.

It happens, thats derbies for you. Move on.

Gutted at losing to them, the only criticism I have is that, as others have pointed out, the subs should have been made sooner.

In the cold light of Monday Im starting to feel positive for the season. I personally think this result will do us the power of good and I think it could be Wednesdays undoing.

I can see this result hurting Wilson and the team as much as its hurting us at the moment. I think that it will make them even more determined to get automatic promotion. Wednesday, on the other hand, are going to get over confident/complacent (we know what they’re like) and they still have Megson in charge

Let them have their moment in the sun, it was their cup final after all, because we all know they’ll f*ck it up in the playoffs, and how sweet is that going to be?

As I have said in another thread, swap the results against hudds and Wednesday, and we are in a worse position.

Had we got 5 points, we'd be 2 ahead of Hudds, instead of 4

As it is we are 4 ahead of Hudds, and 2 ahead of Wednesday, with Games in hand on Wednesday

I know which position I'd rather be in.

Win on Wednesday, and were back on track.

What is most dissappointing about yesterday is that (regardless of who the opposition are) they had lost 3 of their last 4, and we had won 11 in 13, and yet we played into their hands. We should be dissappointed with the result because, on recent form, we should have won that game...

Not being sat in an office full of Preston/Huddersfield fans might have something to do with it!

I suppose if you live well away and don't have to put up with the gurning wankers in your face then it could possibly feel like any other game. Round here it certainly doesn't.
I've enjoyed enough gloating when the boots been on the other foot and there is still the promise of beating them to automatic that feels good but today is not a good day in these parts!
