Does anyone know the extent of his injury?

He went off with concussion early on. He seemed pretty dazed to me and he tweeted last night that he'd been discharged from hospital. I'd be amazed if we put him on the bench on Saturday, and it wouldn't be fair of us to do that either in my opinion.

Personally, I'd risk it with no keeper on the bench this weekend.

IMHO Wilson (or the club, board or all of 'em) are playing a risky game and one that, considering our 'luck' with such things, is gonna come an bite us in the derriere...

Even though we do have a larger squad than a good number of other teams in the league, when you scratch the surface it's actually rather astounding how 'thin on the ground' we are.

So yeah Fiery, I deffo believe we need keeper cover - at the VERY least - now more than ever...

He's definitely ruled out on Saturday on medical advice which is definitely sensible, regardless of our goalkeeper situation. With the looks of it he won't be training until after the Crewe game either.

We surely have another youth player that has tried a pair of goalie gloves on before - may as well stick them on the bench. Given the days where we were absolutely fine with the idea with no keeper on the bench, anyone with 5 minutes actual experience of goalkeeping is a step up from that. Might be worth getting someone in on a weekly contract - certainly not worth wasting a loan unless Long picks up a significant injury.

Gareth Owen is a youth international for Wales. For just the one game he's probably worth having on the bench? Could be a great experience for him. Is Darren Ward even registered?

Wilson has previously said Darren Ward would not be donning gloves again. I suspect he maybe has a potential injury problem which means he can't play pro football again. A shame really as he's unlikely to be needed on the field.

Looks like we're shelling out on a short term contract for Danny Coyne.
