Williamson Contract Offer withdrawn

United have withdrawn the offer made to Willaimson according to the Star after he signed a one month deal with Portsmouth
Wilson said they would consider having him back if it didnt work out at Pompey but he would have re negotiate a contract from scratch

I agree with Danny on this one, we made a good offer, he decides to take an offer from broke pompey who will either go out of Business or get relegated this season. It's a one finger salute to Utds offer, if I did that at work they'd do the same. Williamsons just hoping to get in shop window for a better offer, good luck to him if he comes back with tail between his legs then he'll have to sign a lesser deal.

3 years and £2M better off thanks to us, he's been part of one of the poorest periods in our club's history, spending large chunks on the treatment table and part of relegated team that subsequently failed to bounce back from England's 3rd division.

So what does the multi millionaire do to atone for such a one sided deal, given that he's got a chance to earn some respect - take a deal that reflects the dire financial mess that he's contributed to us getting in to? Make the most of his last few years playing at the highest level possible?

No, take a one month deal from a club with next to no standards who could well get relegated to the 4th division. A full month to find some other sucker to allow him the bleed the game dry.

Williamson is a relic of an era at the lane that no-one can be fond of. He's taken much more from the club he ever gave and messed the club about right up to the start of the season over contract negotiations. The man has no shame. Regardless of his performance last season (and by that I mean just actually being on the pitch) he's not the type of player we need.
