A match or season that can reduce fans to tears of happiness only comes around once in a lifetime IMHO that is. However, there will be some of our fans who will have watery eyes once promotion is assured and maybe these tears will be tears of relief more than anything. Having said that, if I saw any of my Blade bretheren having a special moment then I for one wouldn't think anything different of them.

Remember we've had 6 tortuous seasons of league 1 fatigue and if any Blade needs a celebratory hug on promotion day then I would probably respond likewise.

I thinking about this a few weeks ago. When the players came out for opening game v liverpool for some reason looked beside to my auntie & she couldn't stop crying. At the time i thought 'whats she doing this is a bit weird' but i was 15/16 in hindsight i was too young to fully appreciate the premier league & then as i said only few weeks ago foxes amazing popped up on ipod got thinking about chesterfield game. I was like 'now i understand why she crying all those years ago'

because she'd been through same stuff, from 93 - 05 as i have from 2010 -2017 & probally set off the circle of events again but this time with my neice looking at me like i did to my auntie in 06. Wondering why im crying

I don't think there's much wrong with talking about "what if?" Personally I'm always very careful to say "if" and not "when" when discussing POTENTIAL promotion. It's the nature of football supporters that we can, and do discuss and dream about what could be. I don't think many people are saying we're already there, but there's nowt wrong with thinking about how we'll react IF we do make it across the line this season.
History tells us there is everything wrong with thinking and talking about it FB. The footballing Gods will not ignore us forever!

I will miss the opportunity to play wolves under 23 s in the check a trade , so theres bound to be tears and missing rounds 1 and 2 in the FA cup

last time i shed a tear at a game was the woodward tribute before the chesterfield home game last season at 20, did shed one when we lost to burnley in that playoff final when i was 14

Dunno that I will shed a tear but it will certainly be emotional on the last day of the season if we go up as champions. I will have my 7 year old with me and he is really getting into following the blades. He is wearing the full kit to school next week to do a talk about a famous person ( hello, I'm billy sharp and I'm captain of Sheffield United .......). The other kids all support the big premiership clubs over here and don't understand. As a result I will be welling up as I hopefully share a rare moment with him as the blades win a championship (even if it is only the third division). Once in a lifetime moment perhaps.

I'll be getting pissed with the boys from my old school v Chesterfield , and hopefully meeting a few off here .
In 4 years time we'll all be able to say this it were it started , that's when we are in the premiership.
we didn't go into Admin like Leicester or Southampton did in this league , we did it the hard way
A fucking very hard way , not only on the club , but every single one of us as Blades supporters
A Blade at the helm , for all his faults , and he's a barrel load , look at some other chairmen and thank god we ain't like , take your pick of at least a dozen clubs .
A Blade as manager .
A Blade as captain.
Roaring like a babby , no getting pissed like a grown up should .
Said it before , up as champions , 100 points ( well that won't happen ) 100 goals that still could .
Up Them Fucking Blades .

Completing the 4 league set after 6 rotten years in this god forsaken league - with a Blade as captain, top scorer, and a Blade as manager. Torture over, and one of the proudest moments we're likely to see - touch wood.

Completely anonymous... unless you want to admit it. It doesn't make you a poof - honest :)

Might cry, might not but I've definitely felt emotional this last few months watching a team I could relate to again.

I know someone that'll be touching my wood tho :D

Can't stand people crying in public. Lot to be said for the British stiff upper lip. Diana's funeral for example was a national embarrassment.

Although hypothetically, if we won the play-off final it would be on the 4 year anniversary of my dad dying, so there'd definitely be a moment of quiet reflection there.

Not in front of everyone though. That's a wanker move.
Sincerely - very touching.

IF we go up this year (and I don't care how and in what position) I will (a) cry with relief and gratitude because I love my team and I am emotional and this year has been tough in more ways than one. (b) That night I will purchase 3 bottles of Louis Roederer Cristal champagne and I will drink one myself. My mates, the other two old men with flasks will drink the second one of them and my wife will drink one glass of the third one, leaving me to finish it off. The following day I shall be in tears due to the headache and realising I was stupidly pissed enough to spend £750 on being a pretentious show off knobhead.

Fuck it. SUFC and I am worth it.

Depends, I'm actually staying in Angelina Joli's Condo in Beverly Hills as special guest during the Bradford City homematch weekend, and I might be too busy with Angelina to notice, following weekend I've been invited to Natalie Portman's Penthouse suite on New York's 5th avenue so it rather depends on what she's planning for me.

If I can find a minute I might shed a little tear
